The woodwind fingering guide is the best resource for finding specific fingering charts for every woodwind instrument.  The woodwind fingering guide provides multiple fingerings for every note and specific fingering charts for every instrument relating to alternate fingerings, trill fingerings, and other extended techniques.  This resource is excellent for students who are starting a new instrument or wish to learn new notes.

This site has in depth fingering charts for each woodwind instrument. There are handy trill and tremolo fingerings. Also, there are alternate fingerings when pitch issues need to be corrected. This is not an updated site or pretty by any means, but it gets the job done and is a good resource for instrumental teachers.

Digital notebook loaded into Evernote. Shareable and reproducible song resource containing 282 selections of various genres. All with manuscript and lyrics. Great for inserting into lesson plans, sharing with students and uploading into presentations for instruction. Songs are listed in alphabetical order for quick reference and this notebook can be shared.

Purpose of this resource: Chordify is a useful website for determining the chord progressions of almost any song. Musical Content: Chordify allows users to upload or link to recordings and analyze the chord structure. This works for all genres, including classical music. The chords are displayed in text form, and you can follow the chord changes through the piece while your original file plays. Other information: When using Chordify, educators should double-check the chords. Files with extra sounds (such as applause) can cause the program to add extraneous chords, and suspensions/inversions are not written out. This resource is still helpful for score analysis, and even for choral directors with limited keyboard proficiency. Chord changes can be written in to concert music to allow for a simpler harmonic accompaniment when teaching.

Brandon Haskett's Music Education Blog is a new resource for me to be able to get steel pan music that is scored. Even my students can go on the site and get the lead sheets. This site good also because it is free.

Purpose of Resource: This website can be used to identify the chord progressions for many modern songs. The website can also be used to transpose chord progressions into various keys. Specific Musical Content: This webpage contains the chord progressions of over 5,000 songs. The original song can be played as well as just the chord progression on a piano. Each song can be transposed into different keys and modes while preserving sonic relationships. Theory Tab also can display the chords being played on a piano keyboard or a Guitar Fretboard. Other Information: This could be a great resource for any composition units, as well as for directors looking to incorporate popular music, or arrange popular tunes for their ensembles.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra for Kids website features games, listening activities, family programs and teacher lesson plan resources. It is a place where young children can be introduced to the instruments and inner workings of an orchestra. There is an activity called Flat Beethoven, which is like Flat Stanley, where the children send Beethoven in the mail to different places and he has "adventures' with the people where ever he goes. Hosts of Flat Beethoven write the children back and send him to another place. FUN!

Digital Trombone is an excellent resource for trombonists and teachers. The purpose of the site is to provide lessons, tips, recordings, and newsletters for trombonists as well as other brass instrumentalists. The site also contains a variety of recordings by trombone soloists, jazz bands, and trombone quartets. The site could serve as a resource for students seeking professional recordings as well as instructional information. 

This site serves as a practice tool for students of music theory, ear training, or general music. The site includes recordings for use in interval identification, rhythmic dictation, chord identification, and a variety of other ear training concepts. This would be an excellent resource for teachers who wish to provide their students with practical experience in ear training via technology. Students could practice at home or in a computer lab.

Naxos is a resource of over 1 million recordings in myriad genres. It requires a subscription but would be an excellent investment for a school library (other non-music classes could take advantage of it). Files a flash streamed and one does not need any special software to make use of this site.

Naxos is a Music Library full of wonderful recordings of music. It is the largest classical music publisher for CD's and has a variety of current recordings of new music as well as many old favorites. This is a must have resources for schools and other music professionals.

Teachers will be introduced to Google Apps for Education as a resource to enhance collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity with students, colleagues and their school community. Emphasis will be placed on introducing resources that provide best practices when using Google Apps for Education. The course is online and divided into 10 self paced modules. Each module can be completed individually. Staff will demonstrate completion of each module through a Google Form. 

The College Board's AP Music Theory homepage is an invaluable resource for AP Music Theory test preparation. It contains resources for both teachers and students, including descriptions of the course, articles about teaching AP Music Theory, score reports, and a listing of professional development opportunities and seminars. Most importantly, it contains an archive of past free-response test questions (including both harmonic and melodic dictations) and sight-singing examples, along with (scored and annotated) example responses.

This is a great resource for teachers and students that connects to music history. This could serve as a review resource or a quick introduction for whatever musical period is being studied. If offers great facts as well as information about instruments from that time. It could also be used as a WebQuest assignment for sub-plans.

The FAME website provides information on the pedagogical approach advocated by John Feierabend, lesson resources, FAQ's, as well as locations for trainings and additional publications. There are thorough explanations on the First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege curricula developed by Dr. Feierabend for those who want to learn more or want to advocate for his methodology. A thorough explanation of the musical content and learning objectives (tuneful, beatful, artful) are also available. A podcast hosted by Dr. Feierabend himself is available to members. Some services, like teacher resources, are also only available to members but have incredibly valuable.

What a great resource site for music recordings! Our student computers block YouTube, thus this site will be great for my students who wish to research and listen to new music. Currently, a second grade "reading" group will be writing biographies of composers, and I want them to be able to listen to their compositions.

A great resource for obtaining recordings of your favorite classical composers. All music is royalty free and can be used in the classroom. Also, the recordings are organized by composer, performer, instrument, form and time period
