INSIDE OUT is a large-scale participatory art project that transforms messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work. Everyone is challenged to use black and white photographic portraits to discover, reveal and share the untold stories and images of people around the world. These digitally uploaded images will be made into posters and sent back to the project's co-creators for them to exhibit in their own communities. People can participate as an individual or in a group; posters can be placed anywhere, from a solitary image in an office window to a wall of portraits on an abandoned building or a full stadium. These exhibitions will be documented, archived and viewable virtually.

Now, one company is looking to exploit the love of pictures with a product that both editors and advertisers can use to make digital images more interactive, engaging and, perhaps most importantly, super shareable.

The app can determine if a stuffed animal is being hugged, squeezed, or even moved, using the smartphone's camera and flash. As the toy is compressed, so is the soft foam inside, which decreases the brightness level of photos taken using the camera's flash. And in the same way an optical mouse can track movement by comparing sequential images, the app could easily determine if a plush toy is being moved and played with, automatically triggering sound effects as a result.

Victoria's Secret is building its loyalty program with a new mobile photo sharing contest that rewards consumers with shopping sprees for snapping creative pictures. Victoria's Secret will then judge the entries based on creativity, photo quality, originality and consistency with the brand's image. Four winners will be chosen each week for a total of 16 winners. Each winner will receive a $500 shopping spree.
