Apparentemente ci può essere qualche problemino nell'installazione di VoxOoFox in Oo 3.4. Qui la soluzione (in francese). Attenzione anche all'antivirus Avast, che non permette l'installazione del programma.

Silvia Pfeiffer fa ricerca su come sfruttare le potenzialità di HTML5 per rendere audio e video accessibili. Inoltre è bravissima nello spiegare questi temi tecnici in modo semplice.

Vero e proprio OS (sistema operativo) che sostituisce gli altri sistemi operativi sulla LIM e dunque ha senso nell'aula scolastica. E' opensource. E' portabile, quindi - messo in chiavetta - può essere usato a casa dagli allievi. Contiene solo software libero (la suite di Libre Office, per citarne uno) e una serie di strumenti didattici fondamentali, compreso VoxOoFox per il riconoscimento vocale (per i dislessici, ad esempio). VoxOoFox è un programma libero che legge ad alta voce ciò che si scrive in OpenOffice e in Firefox. Nasce per Linux, ma chi ha Windows ha qualche speranza di installare ugualmente. Qui i dettagli per scaricare in ambiente Windows. In francese.

La persona incaricata delle pubblicazioni istituzionali sui vari media (e dei relativi aggiornamenti) ha un grande carico di lavoro e grande responsabilità. In quest'articolo (in inglese) si trovano alcuni trucchi che fanno risparmiare tempo ed evitare errori e sovrapposizioni. Lo trovo molto pratico.

Funziona sia in italiano che in inglese! :) Molto intuitivo e facile da usare.

Ecco un uso creativo per gli insegnanti di inglese: far parlare i ragazzi davanti al microfono e vedere se il programma riconosce le parole! Molto obiettivo (ho provato) e convincente, in quanto l'insegnante assiste senza interferire, mentre il risultato della propria pronuncia appare sullo schermo.
