Mike Wesch does a handstand for his students to show he is learning how to do them, then shows his young son George learning to climb down a stair step. Fun, yet gets the point across that failure is a big part of learning, as is practice.

Although this is geared for educators, it is a great simple explanation of PLN, why they are important, and how they work.

This is very valuable. I would like to have more information about how to create the dashboard to hold all the information he mentions.

Although talking about youth, this video is a great explanation of the shift in education from knowledge acquisition to making meaning from self-directed learning. It explains the new way of thinking and learning and teaching and being in the world.

This video by Seth Dickens poses two questions 1) What do I know that could be shared? and 2) What do I want to learn? While I might disagree with the order, the rest of the video (about 4 minutes long) does a beautiful job of explaining what a learning (professional or personal) network is and what it allows one to do to connect purposeful and learn.
