From another Diigo group - this is a suite of fun tools from the BBC for organising ideas and generating new ideas. In Pinball you will find tools for creating mind maps, outlines, and simple slideshows. Pinball also has tools to help you brainstorm and generate new ideas.

A bit more technical, but the Dynamic Feed Control is the tool used on the Study Desk to display updates to the EDC3100 Diigo group and eventually student blogs and the twitter feed.

A short description of a script that helps you manage multiple folders on Google drive. Google drive is one of many cloud/Internet-based shared drive features. It's a great way to share files with groups of people (e.g. the students in your class, parents, fellow teachers etc.)   It can also be useful for simply storing work for yourself independently of a particular computer.  DropBox is the name of a similar service. There are quite a few.

Video of teacher using bee-bots to teach a small group, accompanying blog post connects it with some learning theory.  Not entirely sure about the links though.

I wanted to know how I could use IWB as my experience with them is more along the line of "projector screens" as cited in the article

Series of 18 short videos providing insights into the land management practices and social, spiritual and cultural knowledge of the Ngemba, Kamilaroi and Euahlayi Aboriginal language groups in north-western NSW. The videos are presented by the Aboriginal Elders and knowledge-holders and cover a range of topics including the cultural use of billabongs and gilgai, the use of native foods and medicines and traditional stories from the region. Some of the videos explore the European water management practices on the ecology of the catchment and the importance of sustainable land and water management.

SLIC - MinecraftEdu is interactive between teacher, student and peers, can be actioned individually or in groups, is motivating for many students and can be tailored to a specific curriculum outcome.

Great for a design unit - students can create an educational game in small groups and be assessed on the final product

A call for volunteers to act as mentors for a small group of students - from many participating in a student blogging challenge - for 10 weeks from October to December.

This image captures the excitement and energy young children exhibit every day. As I teacher, I hope to draw on these qualities to make their learning experiences interactive, engaging and meaningful.
