I've used this during this school year to motivate and inspire my AP students, then I replay it every now and then to bring the motivation back. Kids really like it!!! I even made a bulletin board with the slogan on it and am having kids write on it what they are doing to "cross the line" to make it interactive!

Hi, Lindsay, I am so sorry this took so long to get to you, I've been up to my ears in work and other stuff. I just couldn't steal the five minutes to write to you. Sad, I know. :) Ryan was my protege and he's such a great guy! He's talked about you and Morristown H.S. and what a great place it is. I went to Randolph and all of my relatives on my Mom's side graduated from Morristown H.S. starting back in the 1930s! Lots of history there, and I love Morristown! When I get permission to do pilot testing I will ask if we can send you the link and let you try stuff out there and give us feedback. Also, if you ever want to come to Central and see what we're up to just ask!

The British School at Rome Archive (BSR) thanks to the Getty Foundation, made freely available digital copies of the John Bryan Ward-Perkins photographic collection. A website of the "BSR digital collections was created to present not only the photographic material (Photographs) but also other types of resources which follow into different categories: Maps, Prints, Documents, Postcards, Drawings, Paintings and Manuscripts". But "the majority of the digital images displayed on the website are represented by the photographic prints and negatives from unique historic collections, including calotypes, glass and film negatives, slides and lantern slides."

Seems to focus more on the history of the British School at Rome rather than Roman history. Should revise the tags at this point but this summer heat here in Queensland is making me lazy...

I've uploaded a few documents related to Habits of Mind in AP World History to my Scribd page. Does anyone else use Habits of Mind in their teaching? My school is implementing it next year and I'd be very interested in learning from the experiences of others. 

Yes my school has been using Dimensions of Learning for the last three years. Keep an eye out for Art Costa who comes out from the States to inservice teachers in Brisbane on Habits of Mind. I really enjoyed my day with him. Very practical stuff. As teachers, we are always searching for ways to make our classrooms "come alive." Google Earth has done this for us. Inspired by Kelly Tenkely's recent flight adventures using Google Earth, I decided to begin looking for ways to incorporate the idea of a virtual flight into our learning adventures. To give a little background, we are studying the Middle Ages this school year and are currently focusing on the Diaspora of the Jews after the destruction of the Temple by the Romans around 70 AD.
