Credibility of Source: 5 because it is very detailed.

It also gives important statistics about kids and how often they are diagnosed with this disease. How This Influenced My Thinking: This article got me thinking about children with ADHD and how much more common it is these days. Also I learned that this disease could start as soon as the brain begins developing which was very surprising. Credibility of Source: This article contains references to give credit to all the facts regarding ADHD and it has also been reviewed by numerous MD's.

It gives examples of how a parent should praise, encourage, and reward their children. I also like this website because it included videos and demonstrations of what a parent could do while raising their toddlers. How This Influenced My Thinking: This reinforces my understanding of how much attention toddlers need from their parents during their development in order to increase their own development. Credibility of Source: I browsed the whole website and all information seems accurate and it has a lot of good examples and ideas.

How has this influenced my thinking: I really found it very interesting the advice given, and i think these rules can be applied to anything people have misconceptions about. Not only did the author include relevant personal opinions but included many citations from medical professionals in many different fields of medicine.

It is relevant to "child birth and culture" because it goes over different methods of birth that not only American cultures use, but other cultures as well. I had never really considered any other type of birth besides medicated birth in a hospital, but it was very interesting to read about the benefits of water birth. This article goes into detail about how a child can gain more self esteem and acceptance through co sleeping and how the mother can enjoy more sleep at night while also creating a strong bond with her child. How this influenced my thinking: It has enlightened me to the benefits of co-sleeping. As ignorant as this may sound before this class I always thought people co slept with their child cause they we too cheap to buy them a crib and quite frankly I looked down upon them. But now I understand some of the benefits a child gains through co-sleeping. Credibility: A published website
