I managed to read through it and find out that there are a lot of things you need to do while pregnant. This article has a real life perspective of people going through the motions of caring for and making decisions for their elderly parents. Times of caring for the parents were described in depth from the perspective of the adult caregiver. This article gives a great outlook on the emotional roller coaster that the adult caregiver goes on and how this affects her deeply. How This Influenced My Thinking: This article made me really think about how difficult it would be to care for an elderly adult that is affected by dementia or Alzheimer's disease. How This Influenced My Thinking: This influenced my thinking because of its high credibility and target audience. It is in a womenshealth website reviews by healthcare professionals so it is taken into account for many women who are about to have a child or are thinking of having a child. This website continues by describing the stages of development and what to expect when expecting. It ends by discussing the importance of healthcare all around from environment to doctors visits. How this influenced my thinking: I was able to learn a little more on why it is imperative to consider all the different possibilities when having a child and how it is crucial that one sustains a healthy condition throughout their pregnancy in order to give their child the best outcome possible. Some of the tips where practical like, exercise, eat healthy or get enough sleep to more specific which had to do with how to handle the emotional burden of the situation. How has this influenced my thinking: This article was very interesting for me, because I currently support my parents, even though they are in good health and able to take care of themselves, still some of the issues outline in the article apply to my situation as well. Source credibility: The article was publish on a government website and the authors are medical professionals.

How this influenced my thinking: This information strengthened my awareness about how important it is for  a caregiver to take care of themselves. Credibility of source: this information supported previous information and sources I was already familiar with.

Abnormalities are at greater risk of occurring during critical periods of development. This period is highest during the embryonic stage. By gathering research on what affects prenatal development, we can pinpoint when pregnant women are most at risk and the factors, thereby preventing congenital problems. How This Influenced My Thinking: It's very surprising how a span of 6 weeks can have such a life changing impact on a person before they're even born. It's crucial that women who are pregnant or may become pregnant be informed and get the proper care needed before and during a pregnancy. It also gives tips on what should be eating. As well, it gives you information on the proper amount a weight should be gained. How this influenced my thinking: This has influenced my way of thinking because I didn't know that have pregnancy there still should be a certain way to get your nutrition back in order. This is relevant because it directly discusses prenatal development and care. It also touches upon the emotional and physiological aspects of communication with a developing baby by using sound. How This Influenced My Thinking: I had no idea how much of an influence sounds had on a developing baby, and how early the influence begins. Credibility of Source: Excellent. Author is a professor who specializes in psychology of music.

Not only does it take you through each stage of development and tell you what is happening, but it also discusses prenatal care. Pictures and diagrams are drawn to help you better understand what the site is discussing. It also describes some congenital and maternal derived abnormalities as well. How This Influenced My Thinking: This influenced my thinking by helping me understand what exactly goes on during each stage of pregnancy. I also never knew that abnormalities could be congenital or maternally derived so that was also interesting. Credibility of Source: The source has many citations and is from the encyclopedia of children's health so i assume its pretty credible

Babies brains are made for learning. Brain development is based both on genes and the stimulation and care given to the infant. Parents should interact with their baby by talking to them. How This Influenced My Thinking:It's amazing to know that with each experience a baby encounters, it only aids in brain development. ADHD is most common in children and those children can cause a lot of chaos. How This Influenced My Thinking: I learned more about ADHD which helped me think about how those with ADHD act and feel. How This Influenced My Thinking: This article got me thinking about children with ADHD and how much more common it is these days. Also I learned that this disease could start as soon as the brain begins developing which was very surprising. Credibility of Source: This article contains references to give credit to all the facts regarding ADHD and it has also been reviewed by numerous MD's.
