Title: Effect of alcohol consumption in prenatal life, childhood, and adolescence on child development
Author: Francesca Foltran, Dario Gregori, Laura Franchin, Elvira Verduci, and Marcello Giovannini
    Date Published: 2011
Why Relevant and Summary: This is relevant to our class topic on Prenatal care and development, because it goes more in depth about healthy prenatal care as well as what can happen if the mother is not taking the right precautions. Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) is something that can affect the fetus if the mother is drinking alcohol and not taking care of herself during pregnancy. This article provides a few examples and shows studies done on various infants to see the side effects of FAS.
How this influenced my Thinking: This influenced my thinking in the sense that it made me see exactly every way the fetus is affected by alcohol consumption during pregnancy. It also reinforced what I already knew about FAS and how dangerous this can be for the fetus.
Credibility of Source: The source was credible because it was a scholarly source off of the schools database.
