Since the remaking trend is at its peak in Bollywood, Why must Marathi Film industry left behind? Remakes of southern films are working wonders in Bollywood. Many A-list actors such as Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn seem to prefer remakes of popular south films as they have proved to be successful in Bollywood too.Debutant director Anup Jagdale is all set to make his first debut Marathi feature film titled Bharla Malwat Rakhtaana. Insiders claimed the film to be an Official remake of Rekha starrer 1998 cult hit Khoon Bhari Maang which was about a wealthy widow who is almost killed by her lover and sets out for revenge. The film was a comeback venture for Rekha in that year and was a critical and commercial success. It was said when Rakesh Roshan started shooting this film, Many close friends warned him about the project being Risky as it had no commercial 'Hero-Angle' in the film. "My film is about a woman who is cheated and betrayed and she is almost killed only to bounce back for a Brutal Revenge rampage Marathi Cinema will ever see. I will not speak further about the film as i want the audience to enjoy my final product." said first timer Anup Jagdale. The casting of the film is also kept under-wraps, However it is confirmed that acclaimed Marathi actor Milind Shinde will enact the character of Shatrughan Sinha.The Trade and the Media is curious to know about the actress playing the role of Rekha. Few names such as Sai Tamhankar and Sonalee Kulkarni bumped in, but director Anup Jagdale remained lip-tight about the actress.The poster of the film also carries just the name of the film along with main credits. The shoot of the film is going on at the locales of Maharashtra and the film is all set to release on 1st December 2013.

Even though Salman Khan has worked with renowned filmmakers liked Karan Johar  and Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Saawariya, respectively, but now the two of them have not worked with the actors since quite some time.And this fact came out on his television show Bigg Boss 7 when Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan came on the show to promote their upcoming film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, directed by Punit Malhotra.It started when Salman quizzed Kareena whether she is punctual on her film’s sets. The actress replied saying, ''Just like you, I also come late on the sets.'' This statement made Salman immediately comment, ''Because of actresses like you, a professional actor like me has a bad name in the industry. Everyone thinks I come late.'' He further added, ''That is the reason why directors like Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and all these people don't want to work with me. Not fair. You are spoiling my name, reputation.'' Hope KJo and SLB are paying attention to this. We wonder if they soon offer him their next directorial!

Tigmanshu Dhulia brings Saif Ali Khan back with bang, as he stars in the former’s upcoming film Bullett Raja. Speaking on the association, Dhulia says, "I worked with Soha Ali Khan on Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns and I'm sure she spoke to her brother about this script. Saif, in turn, expressed a desire to work together. To have an actor with a vernacular image playing this role would have been boring.'' "I needed someone like Saif, who is charming and sophisticated, because it's more of a challenge to get him to play something the audience will not normally associate him with. My hero is not dark and intense. He is endearing and impulsive. In fact, Saif never starts a fight in the film, but he ensures he always finishes it.'' In the film, Saif is teamed up with Sonakshi Sinha. Tigmanshu says, "After years, I saw a screen couple that has the Amitabh-Rekha magic. Saif and Sona are in sharp contrast with each other and therein lies the interest factor. Who would not like to shake a leg with the dashing star of the Bollywood industry aka John Abraham? The actor who can give you shrills with his slight smile is one of the most desired hunk of the industry, but what sources say is something really unusual. Huma Qureshi, who has not been in the industry for long has refused to do an item song with John Abraham in the upcoming movie Welcome Back. The actress, who was seen in the famous Anurag Kashyap’s movie Gangs of Wasseypur, has recently turned down the offer to shake a leg with Johnny boy since her demands were not being accepted by the filmmakers. It is being speculated that the actress was not happy with the paycheque, but was really keen to work with John. A close source to Huma said, “The makers of the film were very keen on signing her for the song but other commitments came in the way of her chance to dance with John.”When Anees Bazmee was contacted for the same, he put forth both the points, he said, “We wanted to have her in the song but then there were date issues. Also, she asked for a lot of money and that became a problem for us.”Now John will be seen with six girls in the song. We think that the actor has become even luckier with Huma’s refusal.

Ileana D’Cruz who made her debut in the world of movies with the film Barfi opposite Ranbir Kapoor has been getting many offers after that. The actress who will now be seen with Shahid Kapoor in Phata Poster Nikla Hero has started working with Saif Ali Khan in the movie Happy Ending directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.

Actors often complaints that they cannot bear the harsh rays of sunlight and that’s why they travel in tint sheeted cars. But, as per the Indian government’s rule book, it is a crime to have tinted films in cars. Government had banned the use of tinted glass, restricting visions beyond permissible limit as fixed under the Motor Vehicles Act, in vehicles.However, Bollywood celebrities are often caught by traffic police having tinted car windows. Recently actors Ajay Devgn and Vidya Balan have been reprimanded by traffic police for the tinted films in their cars. While, the Kahaani actress sweetly pays the fine every time but has requested the cops to let her keep the tinted film because she cannot handle the sunlight. Other side, Ajay Devgn bowled the cops over with his conscientiousness and had the tinted film removed immediately. Now the latest to join the bandwagon is Salman Khan, who was on his way to South Mumbai in his high-end vehicle. As per the reports, “The traffic cops stopped the vehicle at the Worli exit for the light tinted film. But once they spotted Salman Khan in it, the sombre mood immediately changed and the actor was greeted with a wide smile. The cops reportedly took pictures with the star on their mobile phones. The cops allegedly let off Salman with a light warning.”

Here comes the good news for the fans of Hollywood actress Halle Berry as buzz states that this former supermodel is making comeback on small-screen with Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi drama series Extant. Last she was associated with television was in 1991, when she was part of American soap opera Knots Landing. CBS is going to telecast the project, which is going to be produced by Spielberg`s Amblin Television and is 13 episodes long.For those unaware, Berry would be seen in the role of an astronaut, who was returned for a year long voyage in outer space on her own. "I`m always on the lookout for amazing roles, and when you see material that contains this strong of auspices, nuance and complexity, it compels me to run toward it no matter the medium," Berry said in a statement."For five months a year I`ll get to live with and play this incredibly intelligent and vulnerable woman, and for the remainder of the year I`ll continue to look for other roles that move me as deeply as this one," she added.You can catch the series in the summer of 2014.

Even though her film Besharam, which was her first film as the leading lady, didn’t work well at the box-office, the pretty lass Pallavi Sharda is keeping her chin-up, and is proud of her work. Despite coming from Australia, this Indian-origin girl took the task to fit in the role of Delhi-Punjabi girl in the film helmed by Abhinav Singh Kashyap. "I think I always wanted to play different characters. This is what I have done in my life. I am happy to oscillate between an urban city girl and 'desi' girl," she says.You may know that she debuted in Bollywood playing a small-town girl in Manoj Bajpai’s Dus Tola, and then went on to star in films like My Name Is Khan and Love Breakups Zindagi. "In any case I do come from an Indian family. I thought it would be a great challenge to be seen as this 'desi' girl." Glad to work with Ranbir Kapoor in her first leading role, she said, "Ranbir is such an amazing person. He is supportive, generous, gives a lot of space and understands that there is a lot of work done through team work," she gushes, "I had no hesitation about how he would be as a co-actor. He is a brilliant actor and always on the top of the game. That was a further challenge for me only to pull myself up. Also, Abhinav was always there to push me into delivering my best. One look at Ranveer Singh’s chiseled body in Ramleela’s recently released song Ram ji ki chaal, and it is just impossible not to get becharmed by his persona. Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar proved his credibility with his role in epic film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, which was immensely appreciated by the critics as well as the audience. Porn star Sunny Leone is coming back with her ultra sizzling appearance in Kaizad Gustad’s thriller Jackpot. It would be her second Bollywood film after Pooja Bhatt’s Jism 2. She has also done an item song Leela Teri in Shootout Out Wadala.She has impressed director Kaizad Gustad, who is making his re-entry in filmmaking after a long period. His last film was Katrina Kaif starrer Boom, released in 2003. About working with Sunny Leone, he said, “Excited may be the wrong word. But yes, I'm happy to have worked with her. Sunny is a professional and it was fantastic directing her because she is always trying to give every shot her best. She is always asking questions and I like that about her. I'm blessed to have worked with her.”Producer-turned-actor Sachiin Joshi has been roped in to play opposite Sunny in the film that also features Naseeruddin Shah. About casting, Kaizad said, “I had written the script of Jackpot two years ago in Goa, during the rains. Then I just let it be. Most filmmakers are very possessive about their scripts. I usually leave my first draft sitting for a while. And, then I revisit it. Also, I do not write scripts with an actor in mind. I usually write and then do my casting. Coming to the bit about why Sachiin, well, we met socially and he asked me whether I was working on something. So, I told him about Jackpot. He liked the idea and was ready to roll almost immediately. And, I felt that he suited the role of a street-smart Goan local.”Jackpot is releasing on December 13, 2013.

The much awaited film, R…Rajkumar which released on 6th December, had a special screening organized by Shahid Kapoor’s fans, who call themselves - Shanatics. However, it was the Shanatics who received a surprise when Shahid made a special appearance during the film’s interval.The ‘Shanatics’, organized a special screening of R… Rajkumar, where the actor opposite Sonakshi Sinha, is seen at his tapori best.
