Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan, who rarely gets to see in Hindi films, recently appeared in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s action thriller Bullett Raja opposite Saif Ali Khan  and Jimmy Shergil. He says he is a big fan of Tigmanshu’s films and was surprised when he called him for a role in his film.“My jaw dropped when I was first offered Bullett Raja. I met Tigmanshu Dhulia for the first time over dinner in Lucknow. As we were about to finish he said that I was doing his film. I was very happy to be a part of his film. I have been a big fan of him since Haasil. He makes my kind of cinema. The characters in his films are excellent,” said Ravi, who portrayed the role of a woman in Bullett Raja.He says the role was quite challenging. “This has been my most challenging role in the 22 years of my career. I have never played a woman. I also make out with a woman in the film, while wearing a sari. It's completely mad,” reveals Ravi.Produced by Fox Star Studios, Bullett Raja also features Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Grover, Chunky Pandey, Jimmy Shergil, Vidyut Jamwal and others. It was released on November 28 with mixed reviews.

This everyone knows that Deepika Padukone stars in Farah Khan’s directorial Happy New Year, however, you might be glad to know that the Bengaluru beauty plays a Maharashtrian in Happy New Year. Hence, while auditioning for the role, which took place at film’s star Shahrukh Khan’s residence Mannat, Deepika was apparently dressed in some bright, tacky clothes in perfect sync with her character. Deepika was so into the character that when SRK's daughter Suhana saw the test shots on Deepika's phone, she apparently asked the actress, "Where are you in this?" Later on, Deepika went on to sweetly explain the little girl that she was in those loud clothes. This in itself speaks that Deepika was so much into the character while auditioning that even SRK’s daughter was in fence on which one Deepika really was among the pictures.Meanwhile, buzz also has that Jaipur court has asked police to register a case against Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, actor Ranveer Singh, actress Deepika Padukone and others for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of people in their upcoming movie Ram Leela, a lawyer said.

Director Anurag Kashyap's Ugly is one of his most-awaited films. The film was screened in the Directors' Fortnight section at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. It is produced by Phantom Films (Vikas Bahl, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena) and Dar Motion Pictures Ltd. (Arun Rangachari & Shahnaab Alam).

Last year on his birthday, Kamal Haasan released the trailer of Vishwaroopam in Auro 3D surround sound, and this year, it is expected that he is planning to treat his fans by releasing Vishwaroopam 2 trailer on his birthday, November 7."He has been thinking about releasing the trailer of the sequel on his birthday. It was supposed to be released earlier, but there was some more editing to be made. He is yet to confirm if he will indeed release it on his birthday," a source from the film's unit said. For those unaware, the second installment of Vishwaroopam is also a Tamil-Hindi bilingual spy-thriller, which is written and directed by Kamal Haasan, who also plays the role of Major Wisam Ahmad Kashmiri. It also stars Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar, Shekhar Kapur and Andrea Jeremiah, and has been mostly shot in India. In the movie, yesteryears actress Waheeda Rehman will be seen playing Kamal's mother. The film has been produced by Venu Ravichandran. You must know that earlier this year, when Vishwaroopam released, it faced several setbacks, and despite that it went on to mint Rs.100 crore at the box-office.We hope Haasan attains success with second installment as well!

Recently buzz had that Rajkummar Rao was ousted from upcoming film NH10, as actress and co-producer Anushka Sharma was not happy with him being the leading hero. For those unaware, Anushka is co-producing the action thriller with Phantom Films.Meanwhile, clearing the air regarding Anushka’s interference, Rao, 29, said that the decision to leave the project was mutual, and Anushka has nothing to do with this.  "I never signed NH 10 officially. I was supposed to do it. Then it got delayed. Then I moved on to other films like Kai Po Che and Shahid. Then I started working on another film. I can't do two films at the same time. I prefer doing one film at a time," said Rajkummar."So it was a mutual decision. I share a very good relation with the team. I think Anushka is also a very sensible girl. She is a really good actor and I don't think she will do anything like that," he added. It is said that it was Anushka’s call to replace Rajkummar with actor Neil Bhoopalam, who is currently seen in Anil Kapoor's 24.However, Rao says he has no issues with Anushka at all. Let’s hope the peace continues!

Actress Vishakha Singh is now a known name in Bollywood after doing films like Fukrey, Bajatey Raho and Ankur Arora Murder Case. Latest it is learnt that she is ready to do more films as she has signed on few more projects.Her upcoming films, however, are in different languages. “These are The Maya Tape (Hindi), Thurram (Telugu), The Motorcycle Diaries (Malayalam) and Valeeba Raj (Tamil),” informs a source. But one thing that comes to notice is that despite being a Punjabi, she has not acted in one yet. Still, she has many language films in South, where she will be playing a lead role. “Doing four films at a time in itself is a big deal but considering that she is a Punjabi from Delhi, doing four film and that too in different languages is really something special,” says a close associate of the actress.“The Maya Tape, in which she is playing a reporter, sees her along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The horror thriller is being readied for release before year end while the other three would arrive in 2014. Moreover, she is also in talks to do more Hindi films, announcement of which would be made soon,” adds a source.Says Vishakha, “Yes, I am doing a lot of regional films. I realise that one should be constantly working. Moreover, South industry pays you much more as well so it is a good reason to be doing films there too.”Hope you achieve success with these films!

Shotgun's darling daughter, Sonakshi Sinha is playing a Bengali character in her upcoming Saif Ali Khan starrer Bullet Raja. It would be nice to see the actress portraying something different from her previous work where she mostly played similar kind of roles. Her bong girl avatar will be for a brief period in the film.Like seen in the promo, Sonakshi cladding in the conventional Bengali red-bordered saree along with big red bindi, gajra and alta on her hands, she would also be seen essaying the famous Bengali folk dance Jhumur in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s action-thriller. As per the sources, “To perfect the dance form, the actress specially learnt Jhumur dance for the film.”Apart from high-octane action stunts, guns and goon, the film features a love-story of Saif and Sonakshi. It also stars actors like Vidyut Jamwal, Jimmy Shergill, Gulshan Grover in prominent roles. Produced by Fox Star Studios, Bullet Raja is schedule to release on November 29.We must say, with Sonakshi putting in so much effort to perfect the dance, it'll have a lasting impression on people's minds when the film hits the big screen.

B-town actress Shraddha Kapoor played a simple girl in her last release Aashiqui 2, and bagged loads of applaud for the same. And now she is experimenting with her looks yet again for Punit Malhotra’s directorial Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, where she plays lead character Imran Khan’s fiancé.Recently the makers released the first look of the actress, who is seen in typical South Indian look. She plays a small role in the Karan Johar’s production. Her new look from the movie was released by none other than film’s director Punit on his microblogging website Twitter. In the still, she is seen in a traditional South Indian sari with red and golden border matched with a red blouse. The name of her character is Vasudha, and she has completed the look with a bindi, traditional neck piece, earrings, mangtika and flower in her hair. "Here's presenting Vasudha...The very beautiful Shraddha Kapoor," Malhotra tweeted with the picture. In the picture, it is shown that she is getting engaged with male lead Imran Khan’s character Sriram, who also essays a South Indian boy named Sriram. Kareena Kapoor plays the leading lady, and she is seen working as a social worker in the movie, and will play Imran's love interest. Gori Tere Pyaar Mein releases on November 22.

Young director Punit Malhotra, I Hate Luv Storys fame, is working with filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for the second time. He is completing in Karan’s impression and praises him as an easygoing producer.He is collaborated with Karan again for Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, which stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead. Speaking about the work pattern of KJo’s production unit, Punit said, “As a producer Karan is lenient enough to give you whatever you want. The advantage is that he is also a director. As far as the space is concerned, he didn't come on the sets even once. As a producer, he gives you everything you want.”Earlier, Punit has attended Karan as his assistant in his hit film Kal Ho Na Ho and Dostana. About his upcoming directorial, he says GTPM is a wholesome entertainment which pulls a universal audience. But he is not targeting Rs.100-crore marks. “Rs.100 crore depends on a lot of factors. The canvas of the film leads it to that zone. Ours is definitely not in that zone. It's a fun film,” concluded Punit.Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is releasing on November 22 and the lead actors are currently busy in promotional activities. They have visited television shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil, Kone Banega Crorepati among mores.

Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji shared great rapport with late filmmaker Yash Chopra, and even though it has been one year since his passing, she is still not comfortable talking about him in past tense. "I don't like to talk about Yash uncle in past tense. He is a living legend and will always be there in our hearts and lives," Rani said.The actress was speaking at a function where the inaugural National Yash Chopra Memorial Award was presented to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar on Saturday. The event was also attended by Chopra’s widow Pamela. "She (Mangeshkar) is the most deserving recipient of the award. They had an emotional connect," said Rani."It has been a year since Yash uncle passed away, but the young generation will remember him through this award and his films. Lataji was down with fever and doctors had advised her rest, but she still came for the function. This speaks volumes about her," concluded Rani with a heavy heart.For those unaware, the award was organised by a foundation led by industrialist-politician T Subbarami Reddy, who has produced Hindi films like Vijay, Chandni and Lamhe.You will always be missed Yashji!

The show is a Hindi adaption of American series with same name. Attending the three day fest, Cinema beyond Boundaries in New York, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar feels good with the international film dignities. He is exchanging notes with Hollywood directors, writers and music composers on understanding the global perspective in cinema. The director also said that Indian film industry and Hollywood can learn a lot from each other as the two industries seek to cater to the evolving nature of cinema.“There will be something that I take from them and they will take from us. While Hollywood has had a huge influence on the Indian industry, Bollywood and its actors too are garnering a lot of attention in the western film world,” said the filmmaker, who is well-known for his films like Chandni Bar, Page 3, Fashion and Heroine. The event would focus on the global influence of Indian cinema, forecast changes in the fast growing and rapidly evolving filmmaking industry. “Cinema has changed drastically over the years and films are now being made in different genres like commercial, edgy and radical to cater to the tastes of an evolving viewership,” he added.“Indian cinema is no more limited to audiences in India. We have viewers all around the world and hence understanding the global perspective is a must. Filmmaker Anurag Basu must be beaming from ear-to-ear as his film Barfi, which was the story of a deaf and mute boy, turned out to be the top winner at the maiden edition of the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA). It won the trophies in the category of Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress.

It is a known fact that Salman Khan likes to paint a canvas. And to our surprise, he is the one who painted the poster of his upcoming film Jai Ho, got released recently. It is for the first time when Dabangg star took the brush in hand and figured out a painting for a film. Till then, we got to know about his skills only from his close friends who received his works of art as gifts in the past.It is said that Salman was enthusiastic to have his fans on his flagship poster, so thousands of faces have been merged to make a close up shot of him. “Salman, along with brother Sohail Khan (who is directing the film as well as producing it along with Sunil Lulla) were keen to have something special as the first imagery of the film, as they are coming together after a long time,” informed sources.Produced by Eros International and Sohail Khan Productionz, Jai Ho is coming out in theatres on January 24. The maiden episode of Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee with Karan featuring Salman Khan went viral amidst the audience. It was an awe-struck beginning that one reality show could ever have. Bollywood actor Uday Chopra is already 41, still he is in no hurry to get married and even there is no pressure from his family as well. As of now, he is busy establishing Yash Raj Films (YRF) Entertainment abroad. Speaking to the sources recently, he said that getting marriage is not the only option today.Currently, he lives in Los Angeles, from where he manages his home banner's Hollywood wing> but nowadays he is in Mumbai for the promotions of his upcoming film Dhoom: 3, where he plays the character of Ali.Even though he has belief in marriage as an institution, still he feels that it depends on what works. "If you find a girl who doesn't want to get married, then you don't get married. It's very individualistic thinking. I don't believe that marriage as an institution is dead, but I also don't think that that's the only option you have today," he said. In fact, his mom Pamela Chopra, widow of late filmmaker Yash Chopra, is also fine with the fact that her son is still a bachelor. "She feels I will do it whenever I feel like. Now that I have started out this production work, I want to see it being productive. I want to see going forward. Once that happens, I will settle down," he said. On his relationship status with actress Nargis Fakhri, he said, "I don't want to answer it. I don't like to talk about my personal life. We are friends. I will put it that way."We get your point!
