From the moment Anil Kapoor bought the Indian Version official rights of the famous American T.V Series 24, The Trade, Press, Media and Viewers started drawing certain comparisons. Some started comparing Anil Kapoor with Keifer Sutherland, while others started analyzing Indian Viewer's acceptance towards the show. Anil Kapoor's '24' premiered its first episode tonight at 10 pm on Colors. It also replaced the popular comedy show, Comedy Nights With Kapil.So how is the show? Will it shatter all Daily Soap records with its TRP? Will 24 bring a new revolution in the history of Indian Television? Can 24 become a platform where a T.V watching viewer starts accepting big stars on small screen (On a Serial Format, of course and not in some Game or Reality based shows)?The serial's first episode starts with an explanation from its protagonist Jai Singh Rathod (Anil Kapoor) where he explains how India has faced some major terrorist attacks and for which Indian Government has formed ATU (Anti-Terrorist Unit) to protect our country from any such future damages. Jai Singh Rathod is the head of this ATU.Jai Singh Rathod is celebrating his wife Trisha Rathod's (Tisca Chopra) birthday along with his daughter Kiran (Sapna Pabbi). Jai get's a call from Nikita Rai (Mandira Bedi) who is a government agent at ATU. The minute Jai reaches the ATU Wing, He is informed about a serious threat on PoliticianAditya Singhania (Neil Bhoopalam) who is a Prime-Ministerial candidate and a youth icon. Aditya Singhania's life is in danger. Jai (While his way to ATU) get's a call from Wasim Khan (Anupam Kher) who is a Research and Analysis wing (RAW) officer informing about a "Rat" in ATU wing.Irritated by his father's behavior, Kiran goes out to party with her friends without informing her mother. The result is she goes missing.Aditya Singhania is ready to take his oath the next day with a prepared speech by his Mother (Anita Raj). But all hell breaks loose when he gets an immediate call from a T.V Channel head (Suchitra Pillai) who informs him about some of his dark crime which he committed 12 years back.A contract Killer is on his way from Thailand but killed in the Flight itself by another Femme Fatale. The Indian adaptation of '24', retains all the elements of the international series, the real-time, pulse-pounding, fast-paced format with split screens and complex interweaving storylines, with 24 episodes capturing 24 hours.Director Abhinay Deo does full justice with his dedicated direction along with tight screenplay by writers Rensil D'Silva and Milan Milaap Zaveri. This one does not at all looks like a T.V Series but it looks like a One Hour feature film on TV. Full marks to the Direction, Writing and Production team for creating a wonderful extravaganza on small screen. Performance wise, The show totally belongs to the one and only Anil Kapoor who makes you sit tight without touching your Remote Control buttons with his charm and persona. Keifer Sutherland as Jack Bauer might have been good there, but here Anil Kapoor is extra-ordinarily amazing as Jai Singh Rathod. Tisca Chopra, Anupam Kher, Mandira Bedi are superb in their respective parts. Neil Bhoopalam is just outstanding as Aditya Singhania and trust me, this first season belongs to him after Jai Singh Rathod. We are yet to see Shabana Azmi, But it was nice to see Anita Raj in a mind blowing role after a long time. Special mention to the actress who played Femme Fatale, The one who killed the contract killer and jumps from the flight. She hardly had 10 minutes in the First Episode, but she made her presence felt real strong.It is reported, some major channels initially refused to buy the idea of Indian Version of 24, At least not until Colors swooped in. I am very much sure those channels now regret it. I really have no clue or will not lay a challenge if 24 beats other Thrillers running strongly on other TV Channels with huge TRP's, But 24 will be the most exciting, The most talked about and the most interesting TV Mini Series India has ever produced.Prepare yourself on every Fridays and Saturdays at 10pm for a Thrilling roller coaster ride of 24 as this one is most Powerful, Gripping and an Honest show you will ever come across.

They launched World First Bollywood Electro Music Festival and hosted a grand musical party at Hype, Worli where Sonu Nigam, Salim- Sulaiman and DJ Lloyd presented the all new Bollywood electro music. Sonu Nigam was seen giving a bombastic performance and sung his hits with the mix of electro music which made people go grove on their feet, he said, “This music will set a benchmark in live entertainment and will have state of the art technology which will add a new facet in enhancing the music lovers experience.” Shama Sikander and Alex o’ Neil raised the temperature of the party through their moves. Vindu Dara singh was seen dancing with his beautiful wife Dina Umarova. Courtesy her two singles, In My City and Exotic, Priyanka Chopra has made quite a few friends with American singers. Recently, when she travelled New York, she was spotted rubbing shoulders with Ashanti, the R&B songstress, who is rather known for her risqué sartorial choices than her music. Priyanka was making her presence felt at the opening of a nightclub in Manhattan, when she encountered Ashanti. Despite the first meet, they appeared to be quite friendly with each other, and quickly struck up a conversation and then happily posed for the shutterbugs. Looks like, Pee Cee is quite enjoying making new friends in the USA, as last time she was spotted partying with football stars including Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, and this time it is with pop-stars. Who would not like to shake a leg with the dashing star of the Bollywood industry aka John Abraham? The actor who can give you shrills with his slight smile is one of the most desired hunk of the industry, but what sources say is something really unusual. Huma Qureshi, who has not been in the industry for long has refused to do an item song with John Abraham in the upcoming movie Welcome Back. The actress, who was seen in the famous Anurag Kashyap’s movie Gangs of Wasseypur, has recently turned down the offer to shake a leg with Johnny boy since her demands were not being accepted by the filmmakers. It is being speculated that the actress was not happy with the paycheque, but was really keen to work with John. A close source to Huma said, “The makers of the film were very keen on signing her for the song but other commitments came in the way of her chance to dance with John.”When Anees Bazmee was contacted for the same, he put forth both the points, he said, “We wanted to have her in the song but then there were date issues. Also, she asked for a lot of money and that became a problem for us.”Now John will be seen with six girls in the song. We think that the actor has become even luckier with Huma’s refusal.

Yesteryears actress Asha Parekh has been blessed to work with the superstars of her reining era, whether it be Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand or Rajesh Khanna. However, she still rues the fact that she didn’t get the opportunity to work with Dilip Kumar, and is still waiting to work with him.While speaking to the sources at an event recently, the Padma Shri winner said, "I really want to work with Yusuf saab (Dilip Kumar). It's still a wish and I am still waiting to work with him." For those unaware, Dilip Kumar calls it quits from acting in 1998, and the last movie the 90-year-old featured in was Qila. Despite that Asha Parekh is still eager to share screen-space with him. "If I get an opportunity, I would just run and do that project. This is one thing I am looking forward to," she said.There were rumours before that Dilip Kumar and Asha Parekh shared some animosity and this is the reason that they never worked together, but the latter quashed the rumours. She said, "There was no animosity. It was a mistake by the journalist who just cooked up the story. I was very angry with him for cooking up stories and spoiling our relationship. Latest buzz from Tellyworld has that actor Ankit Gera has cheated on his girlfriend Adaa Khan with his co-star in Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, Roopal Tyagi, who plays Ankit’s wife in the show. With this, Ankit and Adaa’s two-year relationship as come to an end.Needless to say that Adaa is extremely hurt with the betrayal as he had promised marriage to her, and she even went against her family for Ankit. Bollywood is reeling with shock over the fallout between actor Sushant Singh Rajput filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor. It has been buzzing that former has refused to do latter’s film citing his date issues. Sushant was launched by Abhishek amidst full fanfare in commercially successful film Kai Po Che. B-town actress Deepika Padukone is undoubtedly the most successful actress in the film industry at the moment, and she has successfully scored a hattrick this year, giving back-to-back hits with Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express and most recently Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela.Even though her film Race 2 was also a blockbuster, but it didn’t have her as the solo actress, while in the other three hits films, she plays the lead actress.
