Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's last romantic sojourn hogged limelight after pictures of their Ibiza stint, her in a mismatched bikini and him in shorts, were leaked. But that does not seem to have deterred the twosome as they are planning a vacation on New Year Eve. This time they are set to usher in 2014 in New York.Their good friends Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji and Manish Malhotra will also join them in the celebration. According to the little birdie, “Ranbir has wrapped up a small portion of Jagga Jasoos and his schedule is such that personal commitments don't hinder his film. Katrina too has worked out a plan to leave the city in the last week of December. They will be joined by Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji and Manish Malhotra.”It is known that last year Karan and Manish brought in the New Year in Dubai while Ranbir and Katrina celebrated in the States. However, this time, the whole gang is planning a huge celebration in New York.Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos features Katrina-Ranbir together and has completed first schedule of shooting.

The actor who made his big debut on the silver screen with Student of the year, Sidharth Malhotra is very glad to have worked with co-stars like Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra and Shraddha Sharma in his films.Among the gen next boys of B-town he is the only one to have worked with the top league gen next actresses of the industry. Few months back rumours were abuzz that filmmaker Punit Malhotra and Sonam Kapoor were hot couple; however, they said to have had a nasty break-up. Meanwhile, the two always kept mum about the whole thing since the start, and if believe Punit, there was never anything between them at all, as he claims that he was never in a relationship with any actress.Punit’s directorial Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is all set to release soon, and it stars his I Hate Luv Storys’ lead actor Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Nowadays both the actors are busy promoting the film worldwide. Here is what Punit said regarding his relationship status. "No, I did not date any actress. I am saying this on the record," Punit said. "I did not have strained relations with anyone, any actor. I am friendly with Sonam. I hope to work with her in future. It is all rubbish. You get up in the morning, see the newspapers, read articles and you find it funny. You wonder what they were wondering while writing this story. There is nothing else that you can do about it," he added. Well, it’s good that he thought to clear the air!

B-town actress Shraddha Kapoor played a simple girl in her last release Aashiqui 2, and bagged loads of applaud for the same. And now she is experimenting with her looks yet again for Punit Malhotra’s directorial Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, where she plays lead character Imran Khan’s fiancé.Recently the makers released the first look of the actress, who is seen in typical South Indian look. She plays a small role in the Karan Johar’s production. Her new look from the movie was released by none other than film’s director Punit on his microblogging website Twitter. In the still, she is seen in a traditional South Indian sari with red and golden border matched with a red blouse. The name of her character is Vasudha, and she has completed the look with a bindi, traditional neck piece, earrings, mangtika and flower in her hair. "Here's presenting Vasudha...The very beautiful Shraddha Kapoor," Malhotra tweeted with the picture. In the picture, it is shown that she is getting engaged with male lead Imran Khan’s character Sriram, who also essays a South Indian boy named Sriram. Kareena Kapoor plays the leading lady, and she is seen working as a social worker in the movie, and will play Imran's love interest. Gori Tere Pyaar Mein releases on November 22.

Young director Punit Malhotra, I Hate Luv Storys fame, is working with filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for the second time. He is completing in Karan’s impression and praises him as an easygoing producer.He is collaborated with Karan again for Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, which stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead. Speaking about the work pattern of KJo’s production unit, Punit said, “As a producer Karan is lenient enough to give you whatever you want. The advantage is that he is also a director. As far as the space is concerned, he didn't come on the sets even once. As a producer, he gives you everything you want.”Earlier, Punit has attended Karan as his assistant in his hit film Kal Ho Na Ho and Dostana. About his upcoming directorial, he says GTPM is a wholesome entertainment which pulls a universal audience. But he is not targeting Rs.100-crore marks. “Rs.100 crore depends on a lot of factors. The canvas of the film leads it to that zone. Ours is definitely not in that zone. It's a fun film,” concluded Punit.Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is releasing on November 22 and the lead actors are currently busy in promotional activities. They have visited television shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil, Kone Banega Crorepati among mores.

Filmmaker Punit Malhotra, whose directorial Gori Tere Pyaar Mein releases soon, says that he wanted the film to be a two-hero two-heroine, and for the same, he wanted Saif Ali Khan to be the other hero, besides Imran Khan. "At one point of time this film was a two hero-two heroine subject. I only went to the boys. It was Saif and Imran. But for some reasons that didn't work out. I then made it into a solo hero film," says Punit. After making debut with I Hate Luv Storys, Punit took quite long to come up with his next."Imran made me wait a lot. I took three drafts to him, he had issues with first and second draft. When I went for the third time, he approved the first draft only. That led to the delay but I have no complaints," said Punit. Meanwhile, rumours had that Shahid Kapoor was approached for the project.Speaking on the same, Punit said that he did approach another actor, but denied naming him. "Imran initially rejected it, so I went to another actor, but that didn't work out and I made the changes in the script and went back to Imran and then he liked the first draft itself," he said.He also revealed that Saif rejected the offer. "Things with Saif never worked out, but he said take Kareena. We also felt at some point that there is too much happening, so we mellowed it down and made it one hero film," Punit said."We were first waiting for Imran's approval and after that happened, we started thinking about the female lead opposite him. Imran asked me who I wanted, I said Kareena but I felt she was beyond my reach," the director said."Also she had lot of projects in hand at that time. Then it so happened that she walked out of those projects and her dates opened up. I called her, narrated the script and it worked out well," he said. Gori Tere Pyaar Mein releases on November 22!

Here’s one more high-profiled project landed in the kitty of petite actress Parineeti Chopra. She has signed another romantic film titled Daawat-e-Ishq post two hit films Ishaqzaade and Shuddh Desi Romance. The project will be directed by Do Dooni Char and Ishaqzaade fame Habib Faisal and features Aditya Roy Kapur, Karan Wahi in the male lead roles. Anupam Kher would be seen essaying supporting character in the film, which is said to be a romantic comedy.Parineeti will work for the second time with Habib, while it would be her first venture with Aditya Roy, who rose to fame with Aashiqui 2. Karan Wahi, popular TV actor who has done shows like Dill Mill Gyye, Kuch Toh Loh Kahenge, Indian Idol Junior (hosting), will make his debut with the film. Veteran actor Anupam Kher confirmed the news sharing it on his micro-blogging site, “Delighted to be part of Daawat-e-Ishq with Parineeti Chopra, Habib Faisal, Aditya Roy Kapur and Karan Wahi.”Currently Parineeti is busy shooting for director Vinil Mathew on his project Hasee Toh Phasee, being produced by Karan Johar. Buzz doing around the telly world has that popular actor Shantanu Maheshwari aka Sham of popular show Dil Dostii Dance (Cinevistaas Productions) on Channel V has decided to quit the show. However, the young actor stabbed the report saying he is going nowhere and will stick to the show till its end.According to the sources, “The creative head of the show, Palki Malhotra with whom Shantanu shares a very close relation was shown the door, allegedly because of her affinity towards him. With co-actors Shakti Mohan and Kunwar Amar supposedly not liking the importance Shantanu was showered in terms of screen time, and complaining to the channel about the same, the lanky guy was left alone when his dear friend Palki, bid farewell to the show.”It was also buzzed that Shantanu spreading news that he too has decided to close the D3 chapter from his book, when his sole pillar of support is no more with him in it. It is said to be the reason Shantanu walking out of the show.  However, Shantanu come out rubbishing all the rumors saying, “I really don’t want to give any reasons to all these rumours, but would just want to tell my fans that I am not quitting D3. I am very much a part of it, so they need not get anxious.”This must be a relief for the fans of Shantanu.

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein actor Imran Khan says he has had the best time working in the movie, and it was one of the most entertaining work experiences that he has had till date. "For me this is the most fun film. What makes it special is the chemistry and interaction between me and Kareena Kapoor Khan. That is what makes the film stand up," said Imran."Kareena and I have good chemistry. I think we look good together. Part of the reason is because inherently we understand each other as actors," said Imran, who was in London with his leading lady Kareena. The film has been helmed by Punit Malhotra, and produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions.The actor said that the film has the target audience in younger couples and the family audience. "Karan likes his films to reach out across the audiences and he likes to make his films family friendly. You can watch it with your parents and parents can take their kids to watch it," he said.He also added that it was picturised in many locations. "The first half is primarily shot in Bangalore where the romance begins. The second half was shot outside Bhuj in Gujarat, then Wai outside Pune in Maharashtra and then in Filmcity. It was a difficult film to shoot. We were shooting outdoors in the peak of summer in May and June - it was over 45 degrees every single day."The film comes out on November 22!

Director Karan Johar feels proud that all of his highlighted actors, including Alia Bhatt, Sana Seed, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra are doing extremely well in the industry.Karan tweeted, “SOTY completes a year today! I am really proud of my three students and the entire cast and crew of this young, fun and special film of my career,” Karan posted on Twitter on Saturday (October 19, 2013). Student Of The Year released on October 19, 2012.The film proved to be a good launch-pad for its three lead actors, who managed to pocket plum Bollywood projects post the film's release.  Alia, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, will be seen in Imitiaz Ali's Highway and Abhishek Verman's 2 States. Thanking Karan, Alia tweeted, “SOTY completes one year and so do I.. one year since I've been in the industry! Thank you Karan Johar for giving us the perfect break.”Based on a school competition, the romantic-comedy revolves around the lives of three college students, played by mentioned actors. Son of filmmaker David Dhawan, Varun is working on his father's Main Tera Hero, while model-turned-actor Siddharth has just finished shooting Hasee Toh Phasee. He also has Ekta Kapoor's The Villain in his kitty.Kudos guys!
