Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's last romantic sojourn hogged limelight after pictures of their Ibiza stint, her in a mismatched bikini and him in shorts, were leaked. But that does not seem to have deterred the twosome as they are planning a vacation on New Year Eve. This time they are set to usher in 2014 in New York.Their good friends Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji and Manish Malhotra will also join them in the celebration. According to the little birdie, “Ranbir has wrapped up a small portion of Jagga Jasoos and his schedule is such that personal commitments don't hinder his film. Katrina too has worked out a plan to leave the city in the last week of December. They will be joined by Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji and Manish Malhotra.”It is known that last year Karan and Manish brought in the New Year in Dubai while Ranbir and Katrina celebrated in the States. However, this time, the whole gang is planning a huge celebration in New York.Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos features Katrina-Ranbir together and has completed first schedule of shooting.

Attending the three day fest, Cinema beyond Boundaries in New York, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar feels good with the international film dignities. He is exchanging notes with Hollywood directors, writers and music composers on understanding the global perspective in cinema. The director also said that Indian film industry and Hollywood can learn a lot from each other as the two industries seek to cater to the evolving nature of cinema.“There will be something that I take from them and they will take from us. While Hollywood has had a huge influence on the Indian industry, Bollywood and its actors too are garnering a lot of attention in the western film world,” said the filmmaker, who is well-known for his films like Chandni Bar, Page 3, Fashion and Heroine. The event would focus on the global influence of Indian cinema, forecast changes in the fast growing and rapidly evolving filmmaking industry. “Cinema has changed drastically over the years and films are now being made in different genres like commercial, edgy and radical to cater to the tastes of an evolving viewership,” he added.“Indian cinema is no more limited to audiences in India. We have viewers all around the world and hence understanding the global perspective is a must. Cinema Beyond Boundaries would get the viewers and the filmmakers together and would help us in serving them with good quality cinema,” Bhandarkar said. Well said Madhur Bhandarkar!

She is down with viral fever and doctors advised her bed rest.As per the sources Katrina Kaif is on very heavy antibiotics and is currently avoiding the camera due to the adverse reaction of the medicines on her face. “She has not been keeping well and was advised complete rest. She was down with viral fever and the strong dose of medicines had an adverse reaction it led to swelling on her face,” said sources.Apart from shooting of her upcoming films titled Bang Bang and Dhoom 3, the shooting dates of her endorsements have been affected due to her illness. “As Bang Bang and Kabir Khan’s film shoot has been pushed ahead, she had time on hand to complete some of her brand assignments before November. But now she has decided to finish dubbing for Dhoom 3 instead,” added sources close to the actress.Does it mean the actress has also missed her secret vacations with her alleged beau Ranbir Kapoor in New York?
