DAR Motion Pictures has come up with the most versatile production house, and its latest release The Lunchbox, in collaboration with UTV and Dharma Productions did good business at the box-office.Its upcoming projects are Mickey Virus, Ugly, etc. Arun Rangachari from the production house says "Our content strategy is genre and demographic agnostic, and is driven by a core philosophy to bring high-quality content to a cross-section of Indian audiences. Backed by best-of-class talent, each of our films this year belongs to a different genre and is focused on a distinctive audience segment."The production house aims to invest in different genres of films. "We are currently finalizing our slate of films for 2014, which again will be equally eclectic in terms of genres, themes, narratives, budgets and casting, with high-quality content being at the core," says Vivek Rangachari from the production house.Director Ritesh Batra says, "I am very excited to be a part of DAR family with The Lunchbox. As a production house they give creative freedom and support to their directors."Manish Paul, who plays the main lead in Mickey Virus, said, "After my experience of working with them on 'Mickey Virus', I can say that that they know how to identify and nurture creative talent."We hope they keep on attain success!

Many consider that the life of an actor is very easy, however, there is no truth to that in actual, as their life is rather full of thrill and drama, which they have to cope with while shooting for their films. Many a times, we have heard about an actor getting injured while shooting for a film.Last it was Hrithik Roshan, who had received a head injury while shooting for his upcoming film Bang Bang. Now latest to fall victim is singer-turned-actor Ali Zafar, who received severe cuts on his left cheek while shooting stunts scenes in Bangkok.  It is learnt that he was shooting for a television commercial for a multinational brand, when he cut his face and was rushed to the hospital. As luck would have it, he didn’t receive any serious injuries, and he made his way to the sets after doctors stitched up his cut. Sources say that earlier Ali’s body double had to perform the stunts, but he didn’t resemble the current long-hair and French beard Ali is sporting. Hence, Ali decided to do it himself, and in turn, he injured his face. Fortunately things are under control now, and we wish the actor speedy recovery!

Aamir Khan had to be on medication to keep nausea down for days when the actor was shooting for Dhoom 3’s song, Malang. The song has been shot at a huge height of about 80 feet and Aamir was to rotate 60 times in a minute for the same.Aamir plays the role of a gymnast in Dhoom 3 and this was required. It is the first time the actor will be doing a thing like that. However, the perfectionist that he is, the actor willingly took it up without complaints and wanted to do it just the right way. It took the team about 15 days to complete the shoot of the song and Aamir Khan was on medication for those many days. The medication was to help him keep nausea down. As he was at a huge height, taking turns, it is human to feel nauseated.Also to make sure all is well, the makers of the movie specially called a doctor, who works with gymnasts, to be on the sets to help Aamir. Dhoom 3 is a high on energy song. In terms of scale or budgets it is going to be massive. The song is around the central theme of gymnastic and will have 200 dancers in the frame.Spokesperson of Aamir Khan says, "The song was being shot at about 80 feet from the ground. To do this, Aamir was on special medication to be able to perform at ease without major effects on his health."

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan recently attended annual lecture at the Penguin in New Delhi where he unveiled about the thoughts of his father Mr. Harivansh Ray Bachchan. He said he remains puzzled by his father's habit in his last days of watching Hindi films rather than turning to his greatest companion his beloved books.Bachchan said his father had called him his greatest poetry. “My biggest problem in my life I do not know whether I am a free verse or a couplet, a chaupai or a shloka. I don't know what he saw in the flickering darkness it had to be more than Hindi cinema's excessive poetic justice in three hours! Did he see a flame that burns itself up lighting up the fire of the written word within? We are our own monster an animal of many animal parts.”During the conversation, Big B also confessed that he would try and build a girls’ school. “True equality can only exist if the whole society embraces it,” he said.
