NASA has set up a cool contest. basically they're giving 150 people who follow them on twitter a chance to be there and see the launch of the Mars Rover, this is a one in a lifetime chance, and if you win then you will be given a tour of the facility, you will get to meet the staff and see the launch from the bunker. However, all expenses are not all paid, because you have to pay for travel and accommodations, but I bet all of the winners are still going to go, because this just doesn't happen everyday.

Samsung has today announced an update to the smallest slate in its Galaxy range called the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. The new device will be available from October and boasts a number of major improvements over its predecessor, including a super speedy 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and HSPA+ with download speeds of up to 21Mbps.

This article is about what were expecting from Apple this coming year. Besides Steve Jobs stepping down as CEO of Apple and leaving it all to Tim Cook, anticipation is high for the next iphone and the coming of iOS 5. i think it's safe to say that people everywhere are exciting to see what Apple has up their sleeve in 2011.

okay i have finally gotten to write a description about this :).. anyway... so basically what this article is about is secure internet web servers that use SSL encryption. what this does is make it very hard for hackers, malware, spyware, and all other bad kinds of "wares" out of your computer making it virus free and it doesn't allow ip hackers to watch what you are doing on the internet. The reason for this is mainly to protect bank account numbers, login id's, passwords, credit card information, and even personal information that, if not protected can get your identity stolen. Two big issues that website hosts do not agree with is that SSL (HTTPS secure connection) costs money. It is not that easy to keep a secure server blocking out hundreds of thousands of malware virus', phishing programs, and spyware, while at the same time keeping it free. Also another big problem with this is that it slows down the server. If there are a limited amount of people going on your website (meaning barely into the hundred hits) than you shouldnt have this problem, but for big websites like facebook,that have millions of hits per day, this is a big deal because they want to keep themselves on top of speed and one of the most popular social networking websites out there. basically, to sum everything up, HTTPS servers cost too much money, some websites dont even need them, and they slow down the servers a significant amount.

upposedly the codename "Knight" is also being thrown around, which would also fit in with the Porsche idea as their logo involves a knight chess piece, so the concept that this may be a limited edition phone is definitely picking up some steam. Any time you throw the Porsche name or logo on a product it can command a high price, so it's highly doubtful you will ever walk into your nearest carrier store and just find this sitting there as your possible next subsidized phone.

You just received a detention from your homeroom teacher because you did not finish your homework. The reason? FACEBOOK. Americans are spending too much time on social networks(23%). Allowing us to download the networks onto our phones(smartphones) is part of the reason why it is raising our numbers. But what's sad is that this information is no longer surprising to us. this is awesome! its an app that you can download onto your iphone or ipad and its basically a recording studio, you buy the jack for 149.95, it lets you record on the go. you just plug in the guitar to the jack attach the jack to your iphone tune it up the you could record anywhere you are. it runs off of the iphones battery so you never have to worry about that.

Three interesting and user friendly features that are relatively new to facebook. The first feature is sharing posts with a selected group of people. You can create a list of your closest friends that only shares their posts with you and you only share your posts with them. The next feature is having top news posts and most recent posts on the same home page. This way you don't have to switch between the tabs. The final feature is called ticker. This lets you see what your friends are up to and lets you communicate with them.

Google has created its own social networking site called Google+. Google+ is like a combination of facebook and Skype. It is like facebook because you can update your status and post pictures with your friends. It is like Skype because you can call people and video chat, however in Google+, you are able to video chat with up to 10 people on the same conference.

India will soon be releasing Aakash, the worlds cheapest computer tablet. It will cost $35 for students and $60 in stores. Tests proved that the tablet is slow, but it was designed to help bridge the gap betweed the rich and the poor. It has a 7 inch touchscreen, has 32GB of internal memory, 256MB of Ram, and has 2 USB ports. It can also survive in hot Indian summers, up to 118 degrees F

Last week a source at Research In Motion (RIM) reached out to us with some images of what they claimed to be BBM for Android.  Said source read the comments on that post and decided to come back with a few more images to explain some of what you were seeing.  These new pictures show off threaded messaging as well as the ability to customize your fonts.  According to what the anonymous source tells us, you'll also be able to change the size as you want for easy reading. All of the accounts shown in the images are test accounts, so don't be thrown by that part.

TItle pretty much sums it up. Now you can buy merchandise, event tickets and digital downloads through youtube. I think this will help make youtube more popular and help them make money off of it because more than 800 million people per month visit the site and 3 billion videos are watched per day.

With all these new eReaders, one has to wonder what's happened to the good old-fashioned library. Libraries are now using eBook checkouts, which have increased by more than 200% since 2010. Some may still prefer reading the classic paper copies - that's still available, they are libraries after all. But, this is a good way to appeal to the younger generation and keep on top of the trends, no less.

HP has recently come out with their new Music Influencer program. they have started a new talk show where celebrities go on to talk about their music and answer questions. with this new program think this will help bring up HP's popularity. this new Music Influencer sounds pretty cool and i think it would help HP a lot.
