Before, they didn't even care about games and they just played at home on their computer but now internet game became part of our culture. This relates to one of our lessons in our courses that talks about internet impact on culture.

This related to our course because this shows the internet culture and it impact on us. Now they are making article about apps which didn't happen before. this relates to unit in our course which will talk about impact of internet and technology on  our culture and individual. 

Most would think that, what with all the new laptops and computers coming out these days being so thin and portable, the desktop era would be finished, right? Wrong. The desktop is part of Internet Culture, that is to say, it's been around for as long as the Internet has, and it will stay. Just because the Internet will eventually make newspapers, TV, and radio obsolete, the desktop will never disappear, because it is based on the same process as other computers. It provides everything it always had (QWERTY keyboard, everything else that made it so huge in the first place). Therefore, the day the desktop dies will be the same as that when the Internet does.

This article explains how Microsoft is attempting to attract users to the browser IE9 (internet explorer 9) by mocking the previous versions of IE. I think that if they must promote any of the browsers they might as well promote the latest and most updated version of it. Since internet explorer has another browser that has more features and is more useful than IE9 they should focus on attracting users to that browser. Also, IE10 has features that can compete with google chrome, firefox, and safari, whereas IE9 does not. In my opinion I find this is a very poor marketing strategy on Microsoft's part and it will not get them any further in terms of higher user rates for internet explorer.

It grew to 27 million users in the first year, according to stats from the Apple App Store. Today, Instagram has more than 30 million registered users, who upload more than 5 million photos per day. Now that Instagram is available on Android, which claims to have users that are twice as engaged as iOS users. It relates to the course because it shows how our culture gets influenced by the internet.

This article talks about new program in Facebook called time line. Timeline is becoming famous among many people. However, some people are against this changes. this caused some marketers to wonder if migrating their brand to Facebook Timeline was worth the effort. there is a report that brands are getting an average of 46% more engagement with Timeline. Average Engagement per post and Fan Engagement Rate increased about 60% in total.   Most of the brands and their engagement post changed a lot after the timeline therefore it was worth for them to market their brands. This relates to our course because it talks about how our culture, store and even their marketing strategies are affected by the internet.

This taks about serious issue arising because now people are accepting anyone on facebook. It is really dangerous to accept everyone on facebook because you dont know who is that person or what they will do. They might stock you!!!!!!!! This article tells you not to accept people unless you know them and this is really important to keep you safe from strangers and criminals.

They may seem funny to you, but DDB New York sees them as creating an online atmosphere of neither sensitivity nor awareness to deal with real social and worldwide problems. So DDB decided to team up with the non-profit organization called WATERisLIFE. Together they traveled to Haiti to film locals reading aloud a series of these "problems" to show how ridiculous they are in comparison to real problems that people face in third-world countries like Haiti. In addition to the video they tweeted some of the original authors of the #firstworld problems saying things like "I'm sorry you were awoken by your cleaning lady. I hope today is better" as well as a call to action to donate money to WATERisLIFE which helps create water solutions and rebuilding communities.  This article relates to eLifestyle and how those posts may be funny to us they can also be insensitive to real problems world-wide even though we don't always intend to be hurtful. This also relates because it shows how the internet can be such a positive or negative thing worldwide. In this case out of an insensitive tweet people were inspired to create awareness for bigger issues and a way to help through a video and a few tweets online.  I think this shows a positive side of the internet where people can take something and turn it into a way of helping people world-wide and getting word out faster and to more people all with the power of the internet.

I can't think of a reason of why this wouldn't be possible.

You can also watch videos on youtube on the youtube app that will be out in a few days. It will be easier than going to a desktop or a laptop.

The Squarer Kilometer Array-which will be made up of 15,000 small antennas and 77 larger stations-will collect a heap of data that scientists hope will shed light on the origins of the Big Bang. The sheer weight of numbers means it will generate a staggering amount of information. To give some context, it will generate 1,000,000 terabyte a day. That's twice as much information as there is traffic on the internet in the same period. It's an insane amount of data. This relates to the course because we learn about the amount of bytes computers use, and this satellites allows us to use 1,000,000 terrabytes a day.

This article would be very interesting for people who has weak wi-fi at their home because their house is too big. There are some parts in your house where wi-fi connection is weaker than other parts of your house.
