I can not count how many times already that I have had something spoiled for me, be it a television series I have yet to watch, a book I have yet to buy and read, a movie still left to watch, or even a new music video for a certain Korean boy band that I follow and cry over. And all of these disgusting spoilers, that ruin my entertainment, come from the single source that is the Internet. I can't even innocently scroll through my dashboard on Tumblr to update my blog anymore without discovering five plot twists in which I have not yet been pleasantly surprised in, a death scene I least expected before it was my time to watch it, and maybe even a leaked practice video to a supposedly secret EXO comeback. Not only does this infuriate me to no end, but it also fuels the fires of my happiness in that someone created the "Spoiler Shield" app - a way to specifically block all of the spoilers you will find while going through your social media sites. Just simply input the subject you would not like to previously see before you invest the time to actually watch it, and the app will block all spoilers relating to it in real time so that going on your social media daily will never be a problem again. At last, I have found an app that will keep my eyes innocent to .gifs from Game of Thrones Season 4 so that I can now watch the show without it being ruined. The idea that this app will prevent me from stumbling over random spoilers greatly pleases me.

The Invisible Universe app was created for Androids developed by Xperia Studio. It allows you to see stuff in space that you wouldn't normally see, such as gamma rays and x-rays. It's like looking through a telescope, but on your phone, at the tip or your fingers, at your convenience, at any time. This app is great because it allows you to witness stuff in space that you really never would had this app not been invented. 

This article is about an App that prevents incest in Iceland. Since Iceland is so small, many people find that they are starting relationships with their second cousins. This app uses Íslendingabók, which is an online genealogical database. This database contains records of more than 720,000 Icelanders going back 1,200 years using as many records (church documents, census information, and so on) as possible. When two Icelanders meet each other, they bump phones and will be told if they are related or not. This new app already has 5000 downloads and has made life easier for Icelanders by and revamping the dating scene.

This article tells us about how riding a bike in the city will soon be easier than ever courtesy of two wheels and AT&T's wireless network for many big cities across the US. The bicycles will have built-in GPS using AT&T's wireless network to make the basic part of public bicycle renting possible-making sure they don't get stolen or abandoned in some unknown place. Also, smartphone users will be able to use an app to locate Social Bicycle racks nearby, as well as reserve bikes and unlock them from racks. Riders will then be capable to bike around the city and return the Social Bicycle at any rack located in the city. You can also rent a bicycle by using the smartphone app to reserve one. The app will automatically send your personalized pin to the rack, which will unlock the bicycle, checking out the bicycle in your name. It also has a cool feature where you can use the app to track stats like calories burned, emissions reduced, and dollars saved. There isn't any information yet on how much the bike rentals will cost. Social Bicycles will hit more cities at the beginning of 2013.

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) was passed to help protect digital rights, but allowed the Librarian of Congress to make exceptions to the act that would otherwise not follow the act. Today (October 28), four new exemptions to the DMCA were put into effect most notably the legalizing of jailbreaking on iPhones but not iPads. The other exemptions to the DMCA are the requirement of disabled people to own multiple devices in order to access e-books, the illegalizing of unlocking a cell phone purchased after January 2013 at a new carrier without permission from your old carrier, and the legalizing of ripping some content of a DVD only for specific purposes. The new exemptions put into effect could have a serious impact on the technology market. The number of e-book reader sold to disabled customers will decrease drastically since they will have to buy other devices so they can legally read e-books. Apple and app developers would also lose a lot of revenue from the App Store since more users will be motivated to jailbreak their iPhones and get pirated apps instead of actually buying apps since they can do so legally. The new exemptions could cause some providers to lose some money though not a significant amount should the provider refuse to unlock cell phones when consumers go to other countries since in the foreign country, consumers will be paying and using service from a local provider instead of their original provider causing them to miss out on some money. Finally, the DMCA exemptions could cause a decrease in DVD sales not just because they are losing popularity already but also because if someone wants to rip a part of a DVD, they can just borrow it from someone else instead of buying and ripping the needed content. I think these new exemptions are very silly and could end up being more harmful than useful. There had been much money tossed around to buy Instagram, fortunately for Facebook, they bought them out. Instagram is an App that adds effects to any picture you have taken. It allows you to change the way the picture looks with a quick edit and doesn't take long at all. Also, you are able to upload this picture to the server and various amounts of people can view it, if you wish. In addition, you may also follow people too to see what they post. This is relevant to the things learned so far because the creators of this app have are now millionaires due to their extensive knowledge of building App programs and knowing how they work. The app is quick and easy, it is a free download and because of the many free downloads around the world, the developers are now rewarded.

This article talks about a mobile app that is available on iOS and Android for Major League Baseball Players to help arrange contracts, look into profits and deal with the business side of their careers while on the go. By giving players devices to arrange better contracts or research notoriety administration on online networking, the MLBPA is trusting the application will make the business side of players' professions more transparent. This is great for baseball players because they can control their careers on their phones, and don't have to worry much about scams in their contracts. This app also shows the new evolution of careers and jobs, and how everything is becoming technology based.

Disney announced a new toy line that makes the iPad an interactive play mat. The new toy is called Disney Appmates, it interacts with a free app that brings it to life. Pixar's Cars are the first toys able to interact with this app. Each car includes a capacitive sensor. When it is placed on the iPad the screen adjusts to the position of the car, so it can interact with the character. With this app you'll be able to explore, compete in races and complete missions. What's great about the new toys: the toys aren't designed to scratch the screen and the toys are lightweight. With this app it has been proven that on April 2010 the iPad is now popular with kids as it is with adults. 

Recently apple released the iPhone 4s. With it, they released an app called find my friends, with that app, you can track someone (if they first agree) which can be helpful in finding someone at a crowded place. However, it's already wrecked the marriage of a new york couple when a husband was able to catch his wife cheating through this app. What does this say about the future of privacy? Everyday people have less and less of it. 

This article is about how now even in pro soccer leagues, referees can use a smartphone app called Referee Pro to give people cards. It is set to official FIFA rules which means anyone anywhere can use it.  I found this article interesting because it shows how technology is taking over. People can't even do something as simple as pull out a card. Do you really need a phone app ? This relates to class because we always talk about apps and stuff.

you might ask what is Vapp??? well its an app that responds to sounds to take pictures automatically, without the press of any buttons. why should you get this app?, well first of all it requires no hands and it is voice activated, and you are able to adjust the volume level for the voice control, so it will respond to as little as a whisper and as much scream to take a picture, also this app is free and is probably going to be a successful app. this is another new product in the apple store, in my opinion everyone should get this appp it is useful to those who are not able to take pictures, or suffer from Parkinson. i would also recommend this app to people who enjoy taking pictures of what they do and what they eat.

Facebook and the Washington Post Company have recently introduced a new app at Facebook's f8 conference, called the Washington Post Social Reader. The app features the ability to allow users to read and share news articles from other media sites from within Facebook itself. In simpler terms, when using the app, it will not require you to follow any other links - it can all easily be done on Facebook. It appears entirely on Facebook, and it is very convenient and easy-to-use for any user.

It also lets you take pictures of the pills, so you don't get confused with pills that look similar. This is a small step forward in the world of humans and technology, and it shows how our world and the world of technology grow ever closer, as it is used to help us in our every day lives.

In the previous six months, Instagram use has septupled easily surpassing twitter.  The app use went from nine hundred thousand people per day to well over seven million.  Instagram is based around a mobile app and has no website.  Before the evidence of Instagram's epic 6 month growth, Silicon valley were obsessing over mobile-first development.  Twitter, who started mobile and then became a website is being shadowed by Instagram.  Many other mobile apps have expanded and surged like Instagram but they all died out.  Instagram has not died out yet however, because people seem to really enjoy looking at pictures and sending up their own.  Instagram users spend an average of four hours on it beating Twitter's average of three.  Many people think Instagram is a bad thing and is for "attention seekers" but I think it's a good thing.  People can express their emotions and feeling through pictures and it's not Facebook so that's a win-win situation.  However I don't use it.
