Yelp (for iPhone) Review & Rating | PCMag.com - 0 views

  •
Yelp's ability to provide detailed information and reviews of businesses is very impressive, and the free app gives you exactly what you need when you're on the go. You can quickly find out if a business is currently open or closed, get directions to the site, see photos of what's inside, and read reviews and tips about the business. And the design of Yelp's mobile app makes doing so surprisingly simple. Yelp is an Editors' Choice iPhone app because it makes life on-the-go better and more enjoyable. And the information it delivers is extremely helpful for anyone in an unfamiliar city.

Larger iPhone 6 May Cause Massive Spike in Upgrades, Lure Android Users - Mac Rumors - 0 views

  • Apple's upcoming iPhone 6 is widely rumored to include a larger display, which could encourage a significant number of users to upgrade in 2014, according to analyst Brian Marshall of ISI Group, who released a note to investors today.
  •
Apple's soon to come iPhone 6 is rumoured to have a larger display, which according to analyst Brian Marshall of ISI Group, could encourage many users to upgrade in 2014. Marshall suggests that Apple may release two versions of the phone, one with a 5.5 inch screen and one with a 4.7 inch screen. With a larger screen, the iPhone 6 may attract people who switched from iphone to android because of the larger screen, to come back to iPhones. A higher demand for an iPhone may happen because of this redesign plus the Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the iPhone 5s. I personally, would switch to iPhone if I was using a Samsung Galaxy, because the large screen would now be on the iPhone, but it would still also depend on the price of this new phone.

Just Tap Your Phone On Every Wall and This App Will Draw a Floorplan - 0 views

  • It's not a bad idea to measure a room before you go out and buy a bunch of new furniture. And if you've got an iPhone, that becomes less of an ordeal because you can trade your tape measure for this slick app called RoomScan. It automatically generates floorplans by simply tapping your phone on every wall.
  •
This article is about an app for the iPhone that is called RoomScan. It is a floor plan generator which helps you when you measure a room if you are buying new furniture. It simply works by tapping your phone on every wall! The app uses your phone's built in GPS and gyroscope. Sadly, this app is only for iPhone and not for Android. I think this is a great app, and it helps people who are moving around furniture in the house because it saves a lot of time. This new creation also shows that technology in our society is replacing a lot of our in-home tools.

Unlocking A New iPhone Is Now Illegal, But Jailbreaking Is Still Safe - What It All Mea... - 0 views

  •
Unlocking an iPhone is now illegal. Any smartphone bought after January 26, 2013 can not be unlocked as it is illegal in the USA at least. Although unlocking an iPhone is illegal jailbreaking is not. At least it is legal to jailbreak an iPhone or iPod Touch but to jailbreak an iPad is illegal. With all this in mind the real winner is the carrier/provider as the consumer cannot jump from company to company with the carriers phone. Only in the states can one go to jail for unlocking a phone but can own an assault rifle!

Introducing the world's fattest iPhone case, designed to make you thin | Breaking Apple... - 0 views

  •
this a new invention apple came up with is a case for your iPhone and a dumbbell in one. this case is good for the people who like to jog and listen to music at the same time, you can put one dumbbell in your hand and your case in the other and you can connect your earphones into your case and listen to your favorite music . in my opinion this is a pointless invention because this is another way apple is trying to take our money away from us. we can easily just use 2 dumbbells and put our phones in our pocket. this is my opinion on the dumbbell case.

Weekend App: viaProtect will give you some strong hints about your iPhone's security st... - 0 views

  •
This app viaProtect is an app for your iphone that monitors where your data is going and where its coming from. This app makes sure that your data for your phone is secure and you are aware of it. When you use this app, it will analyse your phone and will provide a risk score. this app will not solve all your security problems with your iphone, but it will increase your awareness about where your data is going. I would be interested in using this app but it is only available for iphone. i think that this app is very useful, so you know that your data maybe going somewhere else or coming from somewhere else.

Apple (Canada) - iOS 7 - Siri - 0 views

  •
i chose to talk about Siri because i think Siri is a very useful tool. Siri helps me personally and makes not just me but my parent's lives easier to, for example when my parents are driving and the law is you can't use your phone and drive at the same time, Siri helps making a phone call with no hands. Siri also helps you get information more easily, all you have to do is tell Siri what you need and it will search and find the info for you. i also think Siri is good because you can take notes and save contacts more easily for example you tell Siri to make a note it will record what you say and add it to to your notes. This is why i think Siri is a great creation and it makes peoples lives way easier.

Next generation of personal assistant takes a step towards 'Her'-style super-Siri | Mob... - 0 views

  •
The British company behind the personal assistant app Indigo for Android and iOS is looking into creating a more sophisticated voice-controlled personal assistant like Siri. The company's inspiration was the movie Her. A story about a lonely writer who falls in love with Samantha an extremely refined Siri. The new technology connects various systems within you home. You can search for a route to your friends house on your computer and get in you car and your phone will direct you there. Another thing is rather than filling out forms with your information you can just tell the voice controlled personal assistant your address and other information and it will put it into its memory. The new Siri will learn more about you as you search thing through it . If you look for restaurants in your area and you look at different sushi restaurants it will register that you like sushi restaurants. To tell you the truth i am very excited to see how this ends up and I will be happy to see its release.

iPhone 6 Hardware Specs Rumor Roundup - Tom's Hardware - 0 views

  •
So the Mobile World Congress is just around the corner and Apple has chosen to stay out of it and have its own exclusive events. Apple has done this to make sure that way Apple news will not get lost in the flood of other announcements. So far Apple has not announced anything yet they do traditionally announce new phones at the WWDC in June. As for the actual iphone 6 Tim Cook confirmed while speaking with ABC that the iphone 6 is going to have a sapphire display by using the company's new Arizona plant. The sapphire display is pretty much just a clear screen. Which I find can be pretty cool but I'm sure it has its disadvantages. But the sapphire display is very strong and quite resistant to scratches so thats great. Though they have not announced very much about the iphone 6 it does sound promising.

What is 64-bit? iPhone 5S A7 chip explained - Opinion - Trusted Reviews - 0 views

  •
apple adding a 64-bit chip in their new iphone 5s and 5c instead of a 32-bit chip that was added to the old iphones in my opinion is better and makes apps and the phone run faster. everything in the phone now runs smoother then ever, apps won't just shut off on you when it cant handle it and you can run 64-bit games now to like blade 3, which won't work on the old iphones or ipods that have 32-bit chips. This will also make the camera on the phone run faster and the new futures added to the camera app will run smoother now. My opinion on adding the 64-bit chip is that is a great improvement to the phone and the phone will work way more better.

Apple Likely to Slim Down iPhone and iPad with Thinner and Lighter Backlights - Mac Rumors - 0 views

  •
Iphones and ipads are already slim enough, if they want to change something with there devices they should up the battery life. As a apple user, I think the slimness of the products are good enough, the only problem I have with them are the battery life.

iPhone App Contains Secret Game Boy Advance Emulator, Get It Before It's Gone [Update: ... - 0 views

  •
Early in the afternoon today, a clever developer managed to sneak a Game Boy Advance emulator into an innocent looking app named "Awesome Baby Names". The secret emulator is activated by a series of taps on the touchscreen inside of the app. Once it is activated you can play your classic gba games just like you did in 2005. Apple was quick to catch this security breach as it was only in the App Store for twenty something minutes, but in that time many people including myself managed to download the app. This kind of sneaky activity from developers happens very seldom, but when something is smuggled into the App Store, it is usually very important. As stated in the article, it is a very easy process to unlock the emulator from the app, but getting the games and the BIOS onto the iPhone is the hard part. You must first download a program that lets you access the phone's file directory, then you must find the app's directory and drop the relevant BIOS and game files there.

I chose the portable computing tag for this article because it deals with mobile technology and exploiting it to run handheld gaming software. This idea is not knew and has been around for a long time, but the idea of hiding the identity of apps and smuggling them into the App Store is a new idea. Apple is updating their security daily, but clearly couldn't spot this "child naming app" and make it out for the emulator that it was. I chose the privacy and security tag because Apple has a high priority for the security of their ecosystem and operating system, but clever people can still find ways to bypass this and get unidentified files into the operating system. I believe that Apple must keep a close eye on how they approve future apps into the app store because one day we may see cydia disguised as a senseless app make its way into the app store. If this happens, Apple with really have some explaining to do!

Remains of the Day: iOS 6.1.3 May Kill the Evasi0n Jailbreak - 0 views

  •
the iOS hackers who wrote the evasi0n jailbreak for iOS 6, the beta for iOS 6.1.3 will patch at least one of the vulnerabilities that the evasi0n exploits in order to work. After 6.1.3, Wang stated that they may have to build a new jailbreak from scratch. Reports indicate that iOS 6.1.3 will also fix the passcode bug that's gone unpatched since 6.0.1 as well as the newly-discovered passcode bug in 6.1. This will deny any access to free aps that people want to download. Apple has stated a more serious security issue to push out its latest update. The patch also fixes a bug discovered earlier this month that allows anyone who gains physical access to a phone to bypass its lockscreen in seconds and access contacts and photos

iPhone 5: The wait is over - CNN.com - 0 views

  •
Recently the new iPhone 5 came out in stores and thousands of people are lining to get one all over the world. According to this article thousands of Apple's iconic smartphone endured long overnight lines outside Apple retail stores around the world to be among the first Friday to buy the new iPhone 5. My opinion on the iPhone 5 is that you can do anything, but it is not worth that type of money right now because the iPhone 4s just recently came out and the iPhone 5 is basically like the same as the iPhone 4s but different design. Instead of buying the iPhone 5 you can wait a couple of years to buy the upcoming iPhone because Apple comes up with a new phone each year.

First iPhone 5 Drop Tests: Very Sturdy! (But Still Shatters) - 0 views

  •
recently people have been trying to break the iPhone 5 trying too see if if it holds much better than Samsung Galaxy S III. the iPhone 5 was developed in california. though it has out sold the previous iPhone 4S it is also a disappointment for many apple fans. they were expecting a new and improved look and model of the iPhone 5, but instead the shape was kept the same and only the screen got larger. most of the software on the iPhone 5 is on the Samsung Galaxy S II, so in my opinion the iPhone 5 is not exactly that new people are just buying this product because it is mainstream. if stive jobs was not dead i'm pretty sure he would've been disappointed with this supposed new model for iPhone 5.

It is incredible how people want the new phone. 2 million iphones sold within the first 24 hours is amazing. What could make people want the device so bad? Maybe it is quality of the phone
