"The Time You Have In Jellybeans" is about how life is shout, we only have few time to do what we really want to do. Which relates to Sammy in A&P, when he does not want to waste his life doing the things that he doesn't like. Therefore, he quits his job for new life. I have been wasting too much time on doing nothing and worrying about future. I should just take the risks and challenges in life and arm myself with knowledge and high EQ, then I will be able to avoid the traps in the universe.

Basically, ZeFrank's video is about the unmatured brains teenagers have and what should the adults do to help the teenagers. Teenagers have really active brains so they always do something stupid. When this situation is happening, the adults should not tell them to do things but help them go through the challenges. "Emotional Intelligence 2.0" by Travis Bradberry and Jean Greaves can help the teenagers to develop the skill of self-control through self-management and self-awareness. So teenagers are always more mature after developing their EQs.

My favorite work is Hills Like White Elephants because it taught me that I have to have more concern on the people around me.

Five paragraph essay is the most meaningful assignment because it helped me with my writing and editing.

From Poetry Out Loud and "Where I Am From", I learned how to speak up and put my emotion into my performance.

I learned how to write an argument as a thesis, and comparing the stories we read with life.

Writing five paragraph essay developed my writing skill as a writer; reading my poems to my classmates developed my performing skill as a speaker; doing the Type one and two in class developed my mind in getting quick ideas as a problem solver.

I still need to work on using more words in my writing.

While I was hiding my body close to a wet slimy rock which could hide the damn red alarm, the unknown monster was walking by. The shake of the ground faded away, I let my breath out which I held in for long, sat down on the ground and wiped the sweat off my forehead. Before I got here, my memory had been cleaned; I had no idea about why I was in this horrible place.

Estelle's flaw is to gain attention from others; Inez's flaw is to control others; Cradeau's flaw is that he is a coward. Their flaws influence themselves and drive them to hell. When Estelle wants gain attention from Cradeau, Inez wants to control her at the same time. Also Inez exposes Cradeau is a coward to control him. When they start to use do anything with their flaws, they are the doom of each other.

Crane's worldview is that what you get may not equal to what you thinik you should get. In this quote, it says the feeling of discontented, angry and despair from the members on the boat. The oiler is the best swimmer among these 4 people on the boat. But only he died at the end, it definitely shows the worldview that Crane's has.

From the beginning to the end, the focus of this story is those 3 girls. They are looking special and attracted Sammy's attention. When Sammy saw Lengel was arguing with those girls, he wants to be the hero, to get girls' attention. And he also thinks Lengel is not respecting these girls, other people can shop in here, why can't these girls?
So he quit his jobs for two reason, one is he wants to get girls attention, second is he thinks Lengel is unjust, he doesn't respect them.
In the last paragraph, after Sammy quit his job, he goes out of the store, and looks back. So he doesn't really want to quit his job, he was impetuous. And he knows those girls would not pay any attention to him, and they didn't even say thank you to him. He regretted quitting his job.

"Thank you so much! He is a naughty boy, I told him do not make any troubles in school, but...." My mom was talking to Ms.Wei about a stupid thing that I had done: I gave my mom's wedding ring to a girl. I hung my head down, and looked like an innocent. " Its ok, kids are just like that, you know when I was young, I was naughty either." They were laughing, look like they were having fun of it. However, I did not think it was funny, it was romantic and immature love.
My elementary school was located Nan Chang, China, it is not a big city but the life I had there was unforgettable. My family was poor, so we were live in a small apartment, and I was the only child that my parents had. Therefore, my mother did not let me go to school when I was 6, she thought some big guys would bully me , so I went to school when I was almost 7.
As my elementary school life began, there were some new words started come into my head. "Like" and "Love", these two words attracted me into a amazing world which I had never been.
A girl appeared into my head when I was thinking those two words. She had a long black hair, black pretty eyes, and she always had a smile on her face, looked shiny and friendly. She was very good at english, but not good at math. The lucky thing is that I was exactly the best math learner in the class! I helped her on math, and she helped me on English, so we became the best friends.
" Why are you always laughing? What is funny?" I asked.
"haha, I am laughing because I am always happy." She laughed again.
I did not know why, I just felt like in real, she was not that happy than she showed to me.
    "You are lying."
    "What are you talking about?"
"I do not know, I just feel you are not that happy."
She silenced and turned her back to me.
"You can tell me anytime you want, we are friends, I would like to tell you when I am not happy rather than hiding it in my heart. Right? We are friends."
Suddenly, she turned her body and hugged me. Her head is buried on my chest, I could feel her tears were falling on my shirt.
"Thank you." She whispered, and I felt there was a cold humid mouth hit my face before she ran away. I stood there for a while, and walked back to home.
Our relationship did not get any change after that kiss, I did not even know what was that means, because I was not mature enough. However, her birthday was coming soon, I was thinking what gift should I give to her. At that time, I saw my mom's ring,
"Mom, is that a fake ring? It is not real, right?"
"It is not real diamond ring, you can play with it." She was cooking at kitchen, and gave me a quick response.
"Thank you mom." I put the little ring into my pocket, and my heart was jumping agitato.
After had lunch, I went back to school, and looked around. "Here she is!" I found her very quickly. She was seating on her chair and reading a romantic book.
"Hey, I got a gift for you, happy birthday!" I took out the ring, and quickly put it on her hand.
"Thank you." Her face was turning red and her voice was very low. I knew that means she likes it.
After school, I went back to home, and saw my mom was taking everything from her drawers. "What happened mom?" I walked toward her. She told me she was looking for her wedding ring. Now I understood the ring was very important to her, I was afraid, but I still told her what happened, and who did I give it to. She found teacher, and asked the girl, then got the ring back.
