Through all the literature and videos that we read and watch during this year, I find all the thing's big ideas is about the dark side society. In the " Metamorphosis" Gregor's family abandon him because he transform a cockroach; In the "Gimpel the fool" people like making funny on him, no one try to really care about him; In the "The mice of man" George killed Lennie because Lennie's stupid cause he killed a women. All the thing we can see is negative. I do not know why I need to read those stories. A lot of times made me sad, maybe Mr. Rowe want to let us get more mature. I do not really know.
Something I learned that how I can improve my vocabulary, and my writing skills. Also I learned some negative thing s and how to deal with them.
For me, I feel I do not be able to avoid the traps, because this universe is magical, the things will happen with no reason, no indication, no time let you react. I can not predict everything will happen in the future. People's ability is limited, we can control our lives. So I am not be able to avoid the traps.

My favorite work is " 40 Short Stories." There are a lot different style by different author. The one story that I am interested in "A&P" by John Updike. This story told me sometimes we need stay true on ourselves.
The meaningful assignment is writing 5 paragraph essay, it can improve our writing skills, also it can help us ready to get in the college.
I learned courage and challenge from " Poetry out loud". I found I need to improve my pronunciation and grammar fragments. And for the " Where I an From." I learned how to describe my home in detail.
5 paragraph essay in the most important thing in this term, it really help me a lot. Whatever in my life or for the academic, I can feel my writing skills improve a lot during this year.
I became a writer this year, I had writing class and English 11 class. I just write what I want and think, do not have too much worry. I thought write what I like and my friends helped me a lot. I am appreciated Mr.Rowe and my classmates during this year.
I think I need to woke on my voice and grammar. I need to speak up on the class, and ask more questions. Also spend a lot time work with American students.

ZeFrank's video " The teen brain" shows the teenager's brain are more active than adult's brain. Teenager always have some fancy ideas, but sometimes they will bring some troubles. They can not control themselves well. In the "Emotional Intelligence 2.0" , it helps us to develop self-management, self-awareness, and social-awareness. We can control ourselves well, EQ is the most important thing in our life. If your IQ is low, you can not get grades well, it does not matter, you have friends they can help you make you better. But if your EQ is low, you do not know how to make with friends, you do not have social communicate with other people, you can not live this world. So the EQ is very important for everyone.

There two elements of satire in Gogol's " Overcoat." First one is people always gave bad attitude to poor people, the second is people's pursuit of desire. Gogol criticizing the people are vainglorious, they want to other people envy him. For example, when his colleagues laughed his coat, he decided to buy a new coat although he was hungry, but he saved food's money to buy a new coat.
Overcoat can resist the cold, can make people look different. But also it is a layer of camouflage, people just can see on the surface, they can not see what is the truth inside. It's good or bad, we have no idea, so we can only guess and doubt.
Because the first reason he lived in St. Peterburg and he lost his overcoat in here, he want to catch the thief and get his overcoat back. The second reason, St. Peterburg's weather is cold, a lot of people wear the overcoats, he can rap them easily.

That means no one can hurt the member of Montressor family, if someone do that, they will hit back. The gold feet show us the Montressor family is very big and rich, and they can control everywhere if they want, like a sky. And the snake means other people afraid of them, they just can be snakes to sneak attack. But finally, they hurt by themselves!!
