Buy SoundCloud Accounts There are a lot of reasons why someone might want to buy SoundCloud accounts. Maybe they're a musician and they want to get their music out there, or maybe they're a marketer and they want to use SoundCloud as a platform to promote their products or services. Whatever the reason, there are plenty of people out there who are looking to buy SoundCloud accounts. If you're looking to buy SoundCloud accounts, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. First of all, you need to make sure that the accounts you're buying are active and have a good reputation. There's no point in buying an account that no one is using. Secondly, you need to make sure that the account you're buying is real. There are a lot of fake accounts out there, and if you're not careful, you could end up buying one of these. Finally, you need to make sure that the account you're buying is appropriate for your needs. If you're a musician, you'll need an account that has a lot of music related content. If you're a marketer, you'll need an account that has a lot of followers and is active in promoting products or services. Keep these things in mind and you'll be able to find the perfect SoundCloud account for your needs. What are Soundcloud Accounts? Soundcloud is a social network for music suckers that allows druggies to produce and partake their own music. It's also a great platform for promoting your music and connecting with other music suckers. You can buy Soundcloud accounts to help you get further followers and make your music more popular. When you buy Soundcloud accounts, you're basically paying for someone differently to manage your account and music for you. This can be a great way to get further followers and make your music more popular. still, it's important to make sure that you're buying from a estimable source. There are a lot of people who are dealing fake or inactive accounts. still, also you should consider buying So

Learning Without Training - 12 views

Learning Without Training by JAY CROSS on MARCH 5, 2012 Successful businesses insure that software and tools are available for such things as bookmarking reference information, collaborating on tasks, searching organizational content, recording knowledge for peer learning, reinforcing of key concepts, locating experts, accessing outside information, and connecting with customers and partners. Here are a few examples of learning before and after instituting the learning infrastructure we call a Workscape. Usually it's training before and pull learning after, that is, from training to what Jane Hart has called learning without training. For a less murky version of this post, visit the white paper on the Internet Time Alliance site from which this was excepted. Note what's happening here. The shift from training programs to learning networks expands learning and development from a limited department isolated from business operations into a critical, pervasive business function. CLOs who embrace this challenge of integrating learning into work face enormous job enrichment. Those who don't will play severely diminished roles. My next post on this topic will discuss how to shift from the traditional pattern to the network model.

How To Enhance Virtual Learning With The Help Of Social Learning - Tesseract Learning - 0 views

  •
A virtual learning environment is a medium of learning where learners go through courses, study materials and learning aids through an online medium. It can be browser-based or a virtual training session through Zoom. Virtual learning offers activities, interactions, and resources within a course structure and provides different levels of assessment. Given this context, learners can access learning materials through peer-to-peer collaboration networks such as forums. As social learning is a continuous process of learning from other people within and outside the organization, it can be integrated into virtual learning through various means.

MOOC - The Resurgence of Community in Online Learning - 0 views

or other social bookmarking, feed reader, aggregator. the main purpose is collect/collate, tag or label, annotate (time permitting) and curate
  • Feeding Forward - We want participants to share their work with other people in the course, and with the world at large
  • Sharing is and will always be their choice.
  • ...31 more annotations...
  • even more importantly, it helps others see the learning process, and not just the polished final result.
  • The Purpose of a MOOC
  • Coursera, for example, may want to support learning, but it is also a company that wants to make money at the same time
  • Organizations offer MOOCs in order to serve other objectives.
  • MOOCs serve numerous purposes, both to those who offer MOOCs, those who provide services, and those who register for or in some way ‘take’ a MOOC.
  • The original MOOC offered by George Siemens and myself had a very simple purpose at first: to explain ourselves.
  • there are different senses of learning
  • creating an open online course designed in such a way as to support a large (or even massive) learning community.
  • The MOOC as Community
  • Although we learn what we learn from personal experience, we usually learn what we learn from other people. Consequently, learning is a social activity, whether we immerse ourselves into what Etienne Wenger called a community of practice (Wenger, Communities of Practice: Learning, meaning and identity, 1999), learn what Michael Polanyi called tacit knowledge (Polanyi, 1962), and be able to complete, as Thomas Kuhn famously summarized, the problems at the end of the chapter. (Kuhn, 1962)
  • So online communities form around offline activities
  • With today’s focus on MOOCs and social networking sites (such as Facebook and Google+) the discussion of community per se has faded to the background.
  • Online educators will find themselves building interest based communities whether they intend to do this or not
  • Learning in the community of practice takes the form of what might be called ‘peer-to-peer professional development activities’
  • The MOOC is for us a device created in order to connect these distributed voices together, not to create community, not to create culture, but to create a place where community and culture can flourish,
  • The peer community by contrast almost by definition cannot be formed over the internet
  • created through proximity
  • online communities depend on a topic or area of interest
  • Community Access Points
  • This was a project that did more than merely provide internet access, it created a common location for people interesting in technology and computers (and blogs and Facebook)
  • The MOOCs George Siemens and I have designed and developed were explicitly designed to support participation from a mosaic of cultures.
  • It is worth noting that theorists of both professional and social networks speak of one’s interactions within the community as a process of building, or creating, one’s own identity.
  • danah boyd, studying the social community, writes, “The dynamics of identity production play out visibly on MySpace. Profiles are digital bodies, public displays of identity where people can explore impression management.
  • ecause imagery can be staged, it is often difficult to tell if photos are a representation of behaviors or a re-presentation of them
  • In both of these we are seeing aspects of the same phenomenon. To learn is not to acquire or to accumulate, but rather, to develop or to grow. The process of learning is a process of becoming, a process of developing one’s own self.
  • We have defined three domains of learning: the individual learner, the online community, and the peer community.
  • Recent discussions of MOOCs have focused almost exclusively on the online community, with almost no discussion of the individual learner, and no discussion peer community. But to my mind over time all three elements will be seen to be equally important.
  • three key roles in online learning: the student, the instructor, and the facilitator. The ‘instructor’ is the person responsible for the online community, while the ‘facilitator’ is the person responsible for the peer community.
  • recent MOOCs offered by companies like Coursera and Udacity have commercialized course brokering
  • a model that the K-12 community has employed for any number of years
  • where is the French-language community itself?
  •
post from Half an Hour: excellent explanation of how connectivist moocs work, what the difference is between them and x or wrapped moocs and what open is In this presentation Stephen Downes addresses the question of how massive open online courses (MOOCs) will impact the future of distance education. The presentation considers in some detail the nature and purpose of a MOOC in contrast with traditional distance education. He argues that MOOCs represent the resurgence of community-based learning and will describe how distance education institutions will share MOOCs with each other and will supplement online interaction with community-based resources and services. The phenomenon of 'wrapped MOOCs' will be described, and Downes will outline several examples of local support for global MOOCs.

Pursuing the elusive metaphor of community in virtual learning environments - 1 views

  •
"Social networking software sites are often mistakenly called learning communities, betraying a significant lack of agreement or concern for what actually constitutes a community. However, social networking sites are being used by teachers to engage students in dynamic ways, and by learners as vehicles for constructing their own, very personal learning environments and communities. This paper draws on lessons we have learned about building personal learning environments and virtual communities from our research and experience in formal and non-formal learning environments. It addresses the key questions of how can we construct, maintain and usher out communities, who joins communities, and what characteristics of communities seem to be shared across learning environments. The paper also questions whether the label "community" is actually a failed metaphor for something that seems to be much too dynamic and elusive to capture with a single construct. "

PZ Sydney Network becomes PZ Australia - The Learner's Way - 0 views

  •
The PZ Sydney Network has achieved many of its goals in the past five years. Most importantly the network has been able to provide high-quality professional development to many educators through free events large and small and both face-to-face and online. The PZ Sydney Network has been able to expand its reach and in recognition of this is transforming to become the PZ Australia Network.

The purpose of this paper is to outline some of the thinking behind new e-learning technology, including e-portfolios and personal learning environments. Part of this thinking is centered around the theory of connectivism, which asserts that knowledge - and therefore the learning of knowledge - is distributive, that is, not located in anygiven place (and therefore not 'transferred' or 'transacted' per se) but rather consists of the network of connections formed from experience and interactions with a knowing community. And another part of this thinking is centered around the new, and the newly empowered, learner, the member of the net generation, who is thinking and interacting in new ways. These trends combine to form what is sometimes called 'e-learning 2.0' -an approach to learning that is based on conversation and interaction, on sharing, creation and participation, on learning not as a separate activity, but rather, as embedded in meaningful activities such as games or workflows.

  • In the case of informal learning, however, the structure is much looser. People pursue their own objectives in their own way, while at the same time initiating and sustaining an ongoing dialogue with others pursuing similar objectives. Learning and discussion is not structured, but rather, is determined by the needs and interests of the participants. There is no leader; each person participates as they deem appropriate. There are no boundaries; people drift into and out of the conversation as their knowledge and interests change.
  • The PLE is not an application, but rather, a description of the process of learning in situ from a variety of courses and according to one’s personal, context-situated, needs. The process, simply, is that learners will be presented with learning resources according to their interests, aptitudes, educational levels, and other factors (including employer factor and social factors) while they are in the process of working at their job, engaging in a hobby, or playing a game.

Behaviorism, 4cognitivism, and constructivism are the three broad learning 1theories most often utilized in the creation of instructional environments. These theories, however, were developed in a time when learning was not impacted through technology. Over the last twenty years, technology has reorganized how we live, how we communicate, and how we learn. 1Learning needs and theories that describe learning principles and processes, should be reflective of underlying social environments. Vaill emphasizes that "learning must be a way of being - an ongoing set of attitudes and actions by individuals and groups that they employ to try to keep abreast o the surprising, novel, messy, obtrusive, recurring events…" (1996, p.42).

What Does the Online Digital Footprint in Your Classroom Look Like? - 9 views

  •
In contrast to the digital footprint you use for your personal learning network, this focus is on the online digital footprint students' use in your science or math classroom. The power of a well designed digital footprint brings the capacity to transform a classroom into an online learning community. Within this community your students use digital tools to create and develop a personal learning network.

eLearn: Feature Article - Learning 2.0: How digital networks are changing the rules - 0 views

  • Clay Shirky, author of Cognitive Surplus: Creativity and Generosity in a Connected Age, eminds us: "In the history of print, we got erotic novels 100 years before we got scientific journals, and complaints about distraction have been rampant; no less a beneficiary of the printing press than Martin Luther complained, 'The multitude of books is a great evil. There is no measure of limit to this fever for writing.'"
  • Thus whether we are simply in a transition stage with the Internet in which we will eventually weed out the more frivolous content (or at least find a proper place for it) is left to be seen, but history would indicate that there is a distinct possibility that we will self-regulate for the better good.
  • Gardner also contends that creativity can be cultivated in groups. Thus the ability to work collaboratively may palliate a lack of individual creativity.

Is enough to learn in the meta level? Simply learning how you can use the Internet to learn about the Renaissance is not enough, we must learn to paint a Sistine Chapel of our own.

Helping Faculty Members Use Technology Is Top Concern in Computing Survey - Technology ... - 0 views

  • the top concern for campus information-technology departments across the country is how they can help faculty members move smoothly into the digital age of learning.
  • The survey found that as technology continues to grow on campuses—through both online classes and the increasing ubiquity of mobile devices—the ability of faculty members to use and integrate technology is a big concern.

  • and they were particularly wary of the idea that MOOCs would prove to be good sources of revenue for their colleges.
  • For nearly 80 percent of those who replied to the survey, helping faculty members acclimate to new classroom technologies was their biggest concern for the next two or three years.
  • At community colleges, about 11 percent outsourced online resources for students.
  • University of Missouri's Division of Information Technology, filled out the survey for his institution. Top priorities for Missouri, he said, include integrating classroom technology and accommodating mobile users.

  • "We've moved from the 2,000-year-old paradigm of standing in front of a class."
  • 67 percent of those surveyed thought investments in library resources and services were "very effective," while only 42 percent thought spending on online courses and programs was effective.

Faculty remain suspicious of MOOCs and other online technologies but must recognize online education is a crucial component in any college setting. Students no longer have to be physically on campus they can learn anytime anywhere online learning is a work in progress.

Learning in the age of Social Networks - The Learner's Way - 0 views

Learning is a social endeavour. Schools need to understand that for our students the social landscape has changed. Rather than turning away from this reality we need to understand what it means and what our children need to know and learn to safely maximise the opportunities it brings.
