Tonight, and once a week until the end of the year, my students will record a clip of their home reading on their iPad, and email it to me. They can record the clip as many times as they want, and will choose from a selection of levelled books, books from home, and library books.

Financial files hidden in jpeg files - great idea.

So, learn to hide your financial files backup after you did your taxes in that old picture of you and Grandma. OK, now this is very cool - you can hide files inside JPEG pictures. To me, it is not possible to have too many backups - of your tax records, your financial records, etc. Although this method isn't perfect, it would require maximum geekiness to sniff out and find.

By Justin Miller On August 25, 2008, two little boys walked into public elementary schools in Southeast Washington, D.C. Both boys were African American fifth-graders. The previous spring, both had tested below grade level in math. Registration for World Math Day (March 3, 2010) opened today for students ages 5-18 at www.worldmathday.com. The competition is a free, online math competition where students compete against one another in a quest to answer the most math questions in 24 hours. Last year, a new world record was set after a staggering 1,952,879 million students from 38,058 schools in 204 countries answered 452,681,681 math questions correctly during the World Math Day competition. Students are looking to break the record again this year. This is a REALLY cool event.
