Science NetLinks is part of Thinkfinity, a partnership between the Verizon Foundation and 11 premier educational organizations. The Thinkfinity partners include the AAAS, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Council on Economic Education, the National Geographic Society, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the International Reading Association, the National Council of Teachers of English, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, and the Literacy Network.

TechConnect is a peer networking community for Education Information Technology (IT) Professionals. Members log on to exchange knowledge, ask questions, and share experiences with other Education Information Technology peers. Connect to colleagues, create interest groups, and access member-only resources. The TechConnect community is developed and focused specifically for Education Information Technology Professionals (private school as well as public school) and is only offered to those users.

Where things get a bit more confusing with PLNs is when we fail to advance beyond those warm fuzzy feelings about being connected to others with more substantive knowledge and action.

Tech 4 Learning educational network. Not sure how many Nings one can join, but if you use their tools, here is one for you.

For people who love to make movies on their cell phones. A lot of educators are participating in this network created by Janet English. They send you a prompt and you upload a video from your cell phone.
