It provides a wonderful opportunity for students to create projects and get feedback from others. Documents, pictures, graphics and videos can be upload to the site. I chose this site because it was very user friendly with some Office features.

    Wikis/Wikispace is a website that allows groups, individuals, etc. to create web pages on their preferences. Members are invited to groups. Also the web pages can be public or private. Wikispace is a great website because I can create a page to upload a survey/questionnaire to determine the knowledge of the participants. Also A chat session/blog will be created so the learners can receive feedback on their questions.

    Wikispaces is an excellent platform for providing information to individuals and groups. I have used this resource for many years and prefer the simple layout and navigational tools. Information can be linked, downloaded and posted to provide synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities. Active discussions, or interactions can also be monitored.

    Assignment 3 Wikispaces provides sharing and feedback of pre-training requirements. The creation of a wiki for pre-training material promotes essential learning by allowing learners to engage with key elements of the workshop and build retention of fundamental skills. The wiki is not what makes the assessment authentic, it is what the teacher and learners do with the wiki that allows it to provide an authentic learning experience. Wikispaces is a great site to create wikis because it is intuitive and easy to use. It tracks each change and allows members to view previous edits, and restore old versions, if needed. Wikispaces can promote generative processing by providing a space and opportunity for learners to integrate the content into an authentic product. It is better than other similar sites because it provides so many options and features for contributors, but it is still user friendly.

Users have to have a Google Account to use this service. Google Docs allows users to work individually or collaboratively in a group. This is a good benefit to have in education with the use of cooperative learning and project based learning.

    The presentation feature of google docs will allow for easy use for my audience. The tool is simple and doesn't come with the overwhelming features of MS Office PowerP Point. Teachers will use this tool to practice developing a short 3-slide story on the first 3 days of school. This tool is also beneficial because, teachers can again collaborate, and share their materials.

The site gave basic information about different Smartboard models and how they are used in classrooms. There were videos, links and graphics used to deliver information.

Whether it's an IWB or just a big projection screen, the ability to display enlarged content for all to see is invaluable. In this manner, IWBs enrich the experience with it's interactive capabilities and robust software (Notebook 10 for SmartBoards). A little known feature of Notebook 10 is an included LinQ application that allows for the networking of 5 additional laptops that can share their screens to the SmartBoard. Oh yes it doeoess. . .

    The topic of my multimedia workshop is on How to Utilize Multimedia to Create Effective Instructions. I plan to use PowerPoint as my multimedia artifact. In Jones (2005) article she establishes the fact that the technology of choice for most projects was PowerPoint. The main reasons for selecting PowerPoint for my multimedia project coincided with what was discussed in this article. PowerPoint is accessible and familiar to most educators and students. It is simple to use, can be created on desktop, visually stimulating, sounds or auditory stimulation can be added and can be use for cognitive abilities. In addition, PowerPoint has presentation versatility because it can be used as an original file, PDF format, and html format. It can also run with videos and have narration added. Finally, the software allows for interactivity. The focus of the multimedia workshop is to create a learner-centered approach to learning instead of a technology approach to learning; the software is used to facilitate this process (Jones 2005, p. 1). Mayer's (2008) active processing is when meaningful learning occurs and learners are engaged in the active cognitive processing during learning and instructors must figure out ways to prime the learners to pay attention to relevant material, and mentally organize the information and integrate the information based on their prior knowledge. The ability to actively process information can be associated students dynamic, collaborative and synergistic construction of significant knowledge within a multi-learning environment. Jones, D.     Bubbl.us http://www.bubbl.us/ Bubbl.us is a free application that allows users to brainstorm and think online using colorful mind maps. While this application is a bit different from Webspiration the concept is the same. If you are looking for a very simple and easier to use program for younger students this might just be your answer! With just a hit on the enter key you can quickly and easily design and create spider mind maps. I believe that Bubbl.us is a website that can absolutely help learners think with more organization and it illustrates how connections can be made between information. Compared to Webspiration Bubbl.us seems a bit elementary to my likings for my high school students, but for someone who is working with the elementary crowd this would be perfect because there are not as many bells and whistles to this program. Even though students are still able to modify colors and change the location of the bubbles.

Throughout the presentation process, this tool will provide opportunities for the instructor and participants to design webs related to covered material. For instance, in my workshop, webs can be used to illustrate various teaching and learning strategies for each special education category visually.     This site is free and does not require the user to sign up like many other sites. The Creately site is very easy to use, just drag images from the sidebar and drop into working area. The user is able to generate quick graphic organizers that can be shared by exporting as a PDF file. What This product did better than many other sites was to incorporate colorful pictures and not just text.

Storybird will be one of the options for teachers to use in creating their final product. Storybird is a free online tool used to create and promote digital storytelling. The website is very user-friendly with strict parameters which is wonderful for K12 education. The website and its creators pride themselves on being "family-friendly". With this in mind teachers can also feel at ease sharing this tool with their students.
