This Web site includes a collection of resources (articles, blogs, podcasts, and presentations) related to the significance of tablets and iPads in K-12 and higher education institutions. One article in particular discusses seven things that users need to know in using iPad apps in education (http://net.educause.edu/ir/library/pdf/ELI7069.pdf). The scenario provided in the article makes for a learner centered approach to learning, as the iPad is simply used to enhance student's natural learning in identifying stars and constellations. Additionally, the active engagement required focuses on cognitive activity.

This website is a blog host that addresses the needs of teachers who wish to have a more organized classroom.

Screenr allows the user to record a five minute video. The benefit of the time limit of five minutes is that you have to be concise in your video creation. The overall screencasting experience is beneficial because if you are having individuals involved in the process of a common project (e.g. creating a blog or a Facebook group) everyone can get the same instruction and be ready to move on to the main portion of the project.

Screenr allows users to create screencasts to share their knowledge. Features of screenr allow users to record directly on their Mac or PC without installing or downloading software. Once the screencast is made, it can be embedded on sites and blogs. One way that screenr supports essential learning is by addressing the modality and multimedia principles. Screenr seems to be more effective for creating tutorials.

Assignment, Module 3 - Yodio.com is a free, web-based recording service where users can record from any microphone or cell phone to create a visual and audio podcast experience.  Users can synchronize their voice commentaries with photos to create media presentations and responses.  They can be shared, streamed through the Internet, or embedded in other websites and blogs.  In essence, it is an audio postcard.  Another advantage the site offers for classroom presentations is it allows you to toggle back and forth to full-screen mode.  One interesting note:  the name, Yodio, is derived from YOur auDIO.

For those of you familiar with the software Inspiration, this is a web version with some of the same options. This is a mind mapping tool that helps you "capture ideas, organize information, collaborate and share your work, and create diagrams.

Webspiration is a teacher friendly site that contains a vast array of graphic organizers, diagrams, writing organizers and many others. This site is typically used in grades 5-12. With many options, students and/or teacher are able to find an organizer that suits their project or essay. This site is easy to use and is effective in assisting students in independently developing their graphic organizer. 

Webspiration offers collaboration and graphic organizer software for classroom or professional use. Webspiration has free subscriptions available as well as subscriptions for purchase. I found it to be easy to use and share.

Zoho Show is an online presentation tool. It has clipart and pre-built themes for users to create their presentations. It is user friendly, simple drag-n drop feature.

The free presentation software allows teachers to insert text, images, video, spreadsheet data, and audio. Users can cut and paste in video clips from any website. The presentations shared online through collaboration. \nWhy this one: Teachers create and share numerous instructional presentations strengthen essential learning and collaborative planning. \n

Creating presentation could not get any easer with ZOHO. This tool is free and has the ability for users to create and present from remote locations. Your presentations can be accessed and edited from any PC connected to the internet. The tool is great for collaboration and has the capabilities of embedding data in Wiki pages or blogs.

Slideboom is a web site that allows you to upload, store, and then publish presentations to the web. It works with power point animations and is free.

Slideboom http://www.slideboom.com/ This site will allow me to upload my powerpoint presentation so that the participants will always have access to it without having to have a download. This site is free and plays the slideshow in a video format. This site is a good site for developing the participant's essnetial laerning allowing them to process the infomration form a vairety of ways; visual, and auditory. I chose this site becasue it is free and it can be accessed from any internet site. This will be good for the participants to use as a reference after the presentation.

Slideboom is a website to upload Powerpoint presentations even 2010 and keeps the full presentation intact.Slideboom will also allow the user to embed their presentation into websites like wikis, blogs, Facebook, etc.Slideboom has an add-on(iSpring free) where you can upload your presentation directly from Powerpoint. For those reluctant to try new technologies, this is an easy place to start. Like other presentation technologies, Slideboom allows the user to organize and integrate the information presented.

The link above is a great website that provides an abundance of information on creating authentic assessments for multimedia projects. The website provides links for creating rubrics on all types of multimedia projects. One can find a rubric for group projects, wikis, blogs, PowerPoints and podcasts, and PowerPoint's. One can use the rubrics to help determine various aspects in creating a multimedia project. The main page contains a quick link section to help the user easily find the needed links. Rubrics are a great way for the learner to understand the requirements of a project. A rubric falls under generative learning. Many times when a project is assigned, the student has a difficult time determining what exactly should be completed to meet all the requirements. Generative learning helps the learner make sense of the material and supports an engaging learning environment. By using a rubric on an assessment activity, the instructor ensures that the participants are actively engaged by helping them organizer the expectations and criteria.

Scribd is an online technology centered document repository where information can share directly via the application or link to a WIKI or a Blog. Scribd also has the capability of sharing information not only with active members of the tool, but individuals that are connected to you via other social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.

Glogster creates interactive posters and allows for collaboration. The basic site is free but to access more features you have to pay.Videos can be embedded into the interactive posters as well as links. Once a Glog is created the Glog can be embedded into wikis,blogs, twitter, Facebook, and presentations. Glogs can also be emailed.Glogs can be used to integrate and organize information to be presented and allows the creator to creatively present and organize their information.
