The learner-centered presentation incorporates simplistic and easy to read PowerPoint slides that can be incorporated with verbal presentation. The presentation inspires cognitive learning because it promotes discussion by asking questions based upon the assumption that student motivation is heavily influenced by how they perceive their place in society.

Brief description of what it allows you to do and how it can be used for essential or generative learning: This site is awesome for creating mindmaps using a software that runs on multiple platforms and is adjustable when viewed. The most notable function is the collaboration function that allows the sharing or co-creating of a mindmap. This organizer can be completed by the audience member pertaining to the presentation material in a manner that makes sense to them. Brief explanation of why you found this site to be better than others you found (e.g., more effective, creates better products, easier to use, and so on): I have used this with my students and received positive feedback. Bubbl.us is a mind-mapping product aimed towards literally anyone who needs help organizing their thoughts or any untidy information. This site promotes generative learning because it helps participants organize ideas for future learning. I selected this site because it makes it easy for you to quickly start planning and sorting out their ideas through the use of linked text bubbles. -

This will be a good for the generative learning becasue the participants would be actively involved in the process. I like this site becasue the mind maps are very easy to create and they are simple in design. Simplicity for the primary teachers is always a plus, because they like to use the infomation with their students as well. -

The site is at the generative level, providing little in the way of instructional information and focusing on the application. The site is very intuitive to use, although not feature-rich. It does allow for sharing and collaboration with other users. -
Bubbl.us - This website allows the user to create graphic organizers that can be saved on the site. The user can have up to three different GOs at t time for free. It is very simple to use and I have used it with my gifted second graders before and they picked up on it quickly. It has the option to change to colors of the "bubbles"and change the font of the text. The completed mind map can be printed or exported to another site to share with others. -

Although it is online, you can export your graphic, print it directly from the application, or save it for future use. As a Flash-based application, Bubbl.us is not necessarily the perfect solution for all computer users, especially Apple users. However, the application overall is quite strong and useful, either as a trainer resource for organizing content, or as a participant resource, used as a means for them to take notes or organize the information they are presented. -

Bubbl.us is a site that allows users to create webs, or mind maps. A hierarchy is created by color-coding the bubbles on each level. The site allows collaboration, as well. Sheets can be shared with other people, who then have the ability to either view or edit the mind map, depending on the permission granted by the creator. Once completed, the mind map can be printed or exported as an image or an outline. This site can help encourage generative learning by providing a medium for learners to visualize connections between key terms and concepts. It is more user friendly that other similar sites. The ease of color coding and outline creation make it better than other sites, as well. -

The site is easy to use and navigate which means that the user can be creating dynamic graphic organizers in little time. The site is free but does all for upgrades which allow the user more customization options. This site is better than Inspiration because it allows for the online component the user can share the graphic organizer with others and allow them the ability to manipulate or change the organizer or just view depending on the needs of the user. -

Assignment, Module 3 - Xtranormal.com is a web-based presentation tool that allows the user to create a movie from text. The site claims that, "if you can type, you can make movies." Users are provided with 3D characters that are brought to life through adding content to their voices. It uses a drag-and-drop animation system of editing. Another advantage is you can follow this site from FaceBook or on Twitter. One disadvantage is the recommended configuration is limited to Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista. -
Xtranormal was one of the featured websites in the programs for Module 3. It is a very easy to use website to create videos. I used it to create the directions for the pre-training activity. In order to create a video you simply type in your script, select your character, background, camera angles, and character movements. This text to speech website is an example of generative learning because it simplifies the expectations for the participants. -
For the presentation section of the workshop, the instructor could use text and create an animation using avitars to make the lesson interesting to the learners. -

This can be used as an introduction tool of a segment presentation. It provides a visual animation with sound and text possibilities. Brief explanation of why you found this site to be better than others you found (e.g., more effective, creates better products, easier to use, and so on): It can be limiting using the free version, but awesome for foreign languages. My students loved it and could make their presentations unique and creative.

Xtranormal is a movie-making tool that allows the user to create movies with little experience. It permits prerecorded features as well as user inventive frames. Using this tool in my presentations will move my students to a deeper understanding beyond PowerPoint presentations. -

This website allows you to choose an avatar and design a 3D animated presentation of the text provided. This will be a great added feature to add visuals to what I have to share for my presentation. In my classroom, this multimedia tool would inspire student creativity, meet student learning needs who may be uncomfortable speaking in front of others.

Mindomo is a mind mapping tool that not only allows users to create a map for a concept, but also allows for collaboration and the addition of multimedia elements. This tool can be used at the end of a workshop to allow participants to share their knowledge with each other or with those who did not attend the workshop through the creation of a mind map. I have not used this particular tool, but it looks to be fairly easy to use. The fact that it allows for the addition of multimedia elements to the mind map makes it even more appealing.

Mindomo (http://www.mindomo.com) is an incredible graphic organization site. This site allows the user to create interactive graphic organizers. They can choose the layout they want, import pictures, and add video or audio clips, hyperlinks and much more to the graphic organizer. This allows the user to create dynamic interactive graphic organizers that demonstrate whatever they are trying to get the learner to learn. The graphic organizers can be saved and shared within the site or embedded into a website for others to view. This site has two levels of service the free component does not allow the user the same privileges as the paid customer such as uploading pictures but with the free component the user is able to still make a interactive dynamic presentation. This site is better than some of its counterparts like Inspiration and even Bubbl.us because it allows the user to embed the graphic organizer into a website or create a slide show presentation of what they are trying to do.

Bubbl.us http://www.bubbl.us/ Bubbl.us is a free application that allows users to brainstorm and think online using colorful mind maps. While this application is a bit different from Webspiration the concept is the same. If you are looking for a very simple and easier to use program for younger students this might just be your answer! With just a hit on the enter key you can quickly and easily design and create spider mind maps. I believe that Bubbl.us is a website that can absolutely help learners think with more organization and it illustrates how connections can be made between information. Compared to Webspiration Bubbl.us seems a bit elementary to my likings for my high school students, but for someone who is working with the elementary crowd this would be perfect because there are not as many bells and whistles to this program. Even though students are still able to modify colors and change the location of the bubbles. -

An online mind mapping application which is very user friendly. Throughout the presentation process, this tool will provide opportunities for the instructor and participants to design webs related to covered material. For instance, in my workshop, webs can be used to illustrate various teaching and learning strategies for each special education category visually. This application is somewhat different to navigate than Webspiration, which I have frequently used in the past as well as Inspiration in the classroom. It took a few moments of trial and error to determine where certain element tabs and buttons were, but it also presents graphics which have a more professional appearance. -
