    Pre-training resources
    http://www.dekalb.k12.ga.us/~it/activclasrrom/training.html
This website is a site provided to DeKalb teachers to support their efforts in learning how to use all components of the Promethean Board. The website provides information for upcoming courses and step-by-step directions for all the devices provided via the Promethean board. This is a great pre-training tool because this provides participants the opportunity to have step by step directions for the course and a reference for after the course.
    www.prometheanplanet.com
This website provides videos for how to utilize all the technologies that promethean boards provide. This site also provides training and many other teacher resources that can assist teachers will learning to utilize the promethean board. This is a good pre-training tool because participants have access to vidoes that can assist them in understanding the material better and supports the written information provided.
    Graphic Organizers
    www.bubblus.com
This site provides participants to create bubble maps(a type of thinking map) for their learning. This website can help individuals create a buble map to demonstrate the differences in an activclassroom and that of a traditional classroom. This map can help them provide a visual of what they understand how the two learning environments are alike and different.
    http://www.inspiration.com/
This is a software that provides adults and students the opportunity to organize ideas via a multitude of tools: graphic organizers, concept mapping, mind mapping, webbing, outlining, plots, and graphs. This software can provide participants the opportunity to outline their learning or create graphic organizers. This is a software that DeKalb county provides to its teachers and students on all computers which will provide them another opportunity to use a technology that is under utilized in the district.

    Presentation
    FlipChart : http://www.prometheanworld.com/en-us/education/products/software/activinspire
A flipchart is how lessons are developed and presented via the ActivStudio software. This software is essential to learning how to utilize the promethean board effectively. This technology is a requirement for this workshop. If participants are not knowledgeable of this software; they will not be successful.
    Power Point
A individual can develop a powerpoint presentation and import this presentation to Activstudio if needed. Although I would not recommend using powerpoint to create a presentation for a beginner; PowerPoint is a tool that can be used that is easier to share with others via dropbox or google docs. Utilizing PowerPoint will require that all multimedia is linked and not embedded to the presentation.

    Authentic Assessment
    http://www.dropbox.com
This website is a cloud technology that allows participants the option to share and access material from a multitude of devices: phone, computer, or tablet. This technology also provides participants the opportunity to share their creations with others. This technology will be helpful for the assessment of this workshop because of the accessibility of the materials to participants.

    docs.google.com/
Google docs is also a cloud technology that allows participants the opportunity to share material. This sharing of material can be: spread sheets, powerpoints, or word documents. This technology is helpful to allow for collaboration with others.

My presentation will focus on demonstrating and teaching teachers how to use Promethean flip charts effectively in their lessons. Websites that can demonstrate these skills to teachers are the following:
    http://www.dekalb.k12.ga.us/~it/activclassroom/aiindex.html
The DeKalb County School System's website is provided to teachers. This web site has both text and videos which accommodates dual coding. This web site also limits each lesson; and that takes into mind learners' limited capacity. This website however is based in behavioral theory because the learning does not show cognitive activity during the learning rather than on the leaner's behavioral activity after each lesson (Mayer, 2009). This site also does not consider the learner outside of limited capacity; thus, making this a technology-centered site.
    http://promethean.dpsk12.org/video-training/
The Denver Public School's web site expects participants to take notes during the lessons and for participants to work along with the presenter. The web site utilizes both visual and verbal methods, thus accommodating dual coding. It also utilizes limited capacity by providing the appropriate amount of information per lesson. This website is learner centered by asking participants to take notes, thus taking into account how people learn. This site however, is also technology-centered and behavioral in the teaching approach.
    http://pbtraining.weebly.com/index.html
This website utilizes both visual and verbal methods to deliver the lessons provided. These lessons take into account limited capacity by not providing too much information within each lesson. This website only provides information and does not require the learner to participate in the creation of any artifacts; however, it does ask questions of the participant that requires thinking. For this reason this website utilizes the technology centered approach. The technology-centered approach is the most common approach because the focus is on the cutting-edge advances rather than on the learner (Mayer, 2009). As a result of these findings, this website focuses on the behavioral theory of teaching. Students take in the information and demonstrate their understanding by completing a task. In this case, students will use the information provided to develop their understanding of using the promethean board and its many tools.
Although all of these websites are useful they demonstrate Mayer's multimedia learning as information acquisition rather than multimedia as knowledge construction approaches in their delivery of information. Each of these web sites:
    (1) Assume learning is based on information
    (2) The learners job is to receive information
    (3) The presenter presents information
    (4) Presentation delivers information effectively.
    (Mayer, 2009)
My task is to create a presentation that will focus on the cognitive approach of learning; while still providing learners with the needed information to create useful flipcharts.
