The three web sites that I selected that include multimedia artifacts for active learning:
    1. http://www.discoveryeducation.com
Discovery Education is a website that provides short video clips about state specific standards. This website also allows the instructor to create standard specific questions that assist the teacher in discovering and monitoring the academic development of the learner. This resource gives teachers an opportunity to use dual coding to instruct, assess and monitor the educational development of the learner Mayer 2009).
    2. http://www.animoto.com/education
Animoto is a video editing website that prove a plethora of functions that allow students to develop content rich video clips without being bogged down by technical issues. Students can create narratives and animate pictures for projects or demonstrations. This resource allows learners to focus on content in the classroom while inspiring them to increase their understanding of the concepts they present. This website is an excellent tool that assists learners in cognitive thought that promote long term learning.
    3. http://www.techsmith.com/jing.html
Jing is an excellent resource that allows the teacher to record and post discussions and explanations of content on the web for online collaboration or review. This resource also allows students who need assistance or has missed the class to learn and collaborate with their peers.
