In a blog post, Mike Tholsfen highlighted how the Immersive Reader technology, along with Line Focus in Microsoft Word, and an even more impressive feature of being able to change page colours in Word desktop."

The intention is to stop so-called "off-rolling", where schools remove difficult or low-achieving pupils. On average about 2,000 pupils are excluded from school each day - with 40 being permanently excluded."

In many cases, developers must have some prior accessibility knowledge in order to make sense of the results. It's prospective parent information day, and you make the trek to San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood. You walk up to the second floor of the school, file into a glass-walled conference room overlooking a classroom, and take a seat alongside dozens of other parents who, like you, feel that public schools-with their endless bubble-filled tests, 38-kid classrooms, and antiquated approach to learning-just aren't cutting it. some wonderful professional development opportunities for teachers

This is the end result of one of my favorite units I do with my 7th graders. This year students brainstormed various positive messages they thought would make our school community a better place or would reinforce some of the positivity that already exists. Our school TV news will broadcast these to our entire school over the next few months (one per day). Enjoy!
