There are several websites that have French Notebook files or websites that work great on the SMARTBoard. Here is the list that I have collected. If anyone has more to add, please add them so everyone can benefit.

A superb Apple and Android app from IFTTT which lets you setup one click notes which can be used for many online services. You can send a note to your email, add something to Evernote, or even add something to your Google Calendar by extracting the details from the text. Use it in your ongoing assessment by quickly noting things you notice in class.

Collaborative annotation tools, such as Diigo, Reframe It, MyStickies, and Google Sidewiki, expand the concept of social bookmarking by allowing users not only to share bookmarks but also to digitally annotate web pages. Rather than simply pointing to particular web pages, collaborative annotation lets users highlight specific content on a web page and add a note explaining their thoughts or pointing to additional resources. Users highlight text or images, add their own comments, and share those annotations with colleagues and friends of their choosing.

I'm wondering how diigo highlighting works on a wiki page... what if the text that I'd highlighted later gets changed on the page or deleted?

The deleted highlighted text (and any attached sticky notes or comments) is preserved in the list of annotations in Diigo itself. Tried this to comment on a student's developing article on a wiki page -it was very handy.

The Art Project powered by Google features interior tours of seventeen world famous art museums. Select a museum from the list on the homepage & you can virtually tour it using the same interface style you experience in Google Maps Streetview. Inside the museum, just double click to zoom to a location. You can also open a floor plan overview & click on a room to navigate to that part of the museum. The best part of the Art Project powered by Google is the option to create your own artwork collection while visiting each museum. As you're touring a museum click on the "+" symbol on any work of art see it in greater detail, to add it to your collection, & to open background information about that work of art. To create a collection you must be signed into a Google account. This is a great way to start a story or writing prompt, or to explore history & cultures.
