This is a Glog I produced to give a presentation to a group of educators. The intention was to give the presentation entirely using free web 2 tools to show them the potential. I think it succeeds but I would value any comments

Just a few weeks ago, YouTube introduced a new annotation feature that made it easier for publishers to add speech bubbles or spotlights to their videos. Now, you can send a special link to your friends so that they can easily add their own witty comments to your videos.

On my blog, mostly geared towards educational thoughts, reflections, and motivations, I am showing examples of mixing various web2.0 tools together. During the summer, I have a form that the reader can complete on summer reading interests. Each Monday, I hope to post a summary of what those participating have shared from around the world. And then, of course comments are welcomed. Thus, this is a real connecting use of the Internet, offering lots of participation and engaging thoughts!

Specifically for the best EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS for CHILDREN Courtesy AccessTechNews: Watch Know is another collection of thousands of educational videos from across the Internet. The site is broken down into an easy-to-browse catalog. You can also use a standard search box to find videos. Although the site is gathering videos from all across the web from sites like National Geographic, many of the videos are drawn from YouTube. Most importantly, TeacherTube community members are a major part of the evolution of the site. Members are encouraged to not only upload educationally relevant videos, but also to make constructive comments and use the rating system to show appreciation for videos of value to one as an educator or learner.

Install greasemonkey script to be able to preview blog posts right within Google Reader, as well as add comments without having to leave Google Reader to visit the actual blog. Saves a great deal of time.

A very interesting sight for online reading - BUT distinctive because of its interactive features to comment and chat on what is being read. Great potential for interactive book clubs and reading classes.

Our job is to use the tools that they are familiar with to create an environment that develops the literacy skills Yancy mentions while building upon our students' communal interactions via social media.

I created this for someone to use as an online course and to show off Prezi. Rec'd comments (from non-technical people) that if someone doesn't know how to use computers or Prezi, it is confusing.
