Hi Ashley, I've been reading through this section for developers: http://tincanapi.com/page-developers/. From what I understand so far, an LRS should do at least one of the following: - Standardize and serialize the various types of data from different networks (e.g. Twitter, Facebook) into an LMS-friendly format - Act as a stand-alone enterprise-level web-service from which other web-services can extract the collated data for their own usage. The Tin Can APIs look useful so far for our own use (including mobile support), since they support Javascript, Objective C and Java. I believe these APIs can link up with Google Enterprise Apps for greater LRS functionality too.

Ah, that's good news indeed if Google Enterprise Apps are friendly towards this strategy. Keep monitoring. Things tend to change rapidly with Google!

YellowBird Brings 360-Degree Video to YouTube - 1 views
-
YellowBird, a Netherlands-based video technology startup, just had its interactive, 360-degree video player approved by YouTube for integration into YouTube's channels. With the new player, you can now not only watch immersive, 360-degree YouTube videos, you can also navigate the video by dragging your mouse. As TechCrunch rightly described it last year - it's like Google Street View for video.
-
YellowBird says its original player was customized specifically for this project into an embeddable widget which also contains social networking links, a 2D (unwrapped) version of the video and a link to buy the album from inside the player.

The terminal then gives you tailored recommendations. Pressing a few buttons on the touch-screen paints make-up onto your image in realtime, allowing you to see the results instantly. You also try out make-up that is currently making waves, along with printing out before and after photos with product information for you to go make the purchase of whichever colors caught your eye the most.

Free Technology for Teachers: Adobe's Project ROME Looks Promising - 0 views
-
Project ROME allows users to create multimedia documents and presentations. ROME can also be used to create quizzes and to design websites. Users can build documents that include images, videos, and animations. Animations can be imported from an existing file or created from scratch within ROME. Resizing of elements within any project in ROME is a simple matter of drag and drop resizing. Arranging elements is also a drag and drop process. Adding elements to a project in ROME is done by selecting from a large series of drop-down menus. Some parts of using ROME are quite intuitive, but as you might expect with a program that has many features, there are parts of ROME that will require you to follow a tutorial the first time you try it. Watch the video below for an overview of Project ROME.
