Video Marketing- 42 Ways to Use Video | Market Yourself as a Speaker - 0 views

  •
"Video Marketing- 42 Ways to Use Video Posted on February 27th, 2010. Stop wasting time trading links with other websites, posting the same how-to article to a gazillion article directory sites, and doing sneaky little things at your own website to try to trick the search engines. Spend your time instead creating video, one of the most powerful ways to pull traffic to your website or blog. It will boost your position in the search engine rankings and, in some cases, take tons of business away from your competitors. Do it right, and they'll be so shell-shocked they'll pack up and go home."

  • "Businesses built to operate in the Networked World are as different from the Industrial Age models as a computer is from a multi-plane camera. Networked organizations are more biological than industrial. They resemble their employees more than their employees resemble them. They are highly adaptive, mobile, open, sensitive to their environment, and ultra-responsive. They continuously evolve, nurtured by a steady stream of intelligent input from inside and outside the organization. In a networked organization, where good ideas originate is not half as important as how–-and how frequently—those good ideas become reality. Good managers don’t try to control their brand’s narrative but, rather, to foster an environment in which it can be liberated, expanded and unleashed across networks. The emphasis is not on following a script, but on improvisation."

inancial Stress and Absenteeism: An Empirically Derived Model Author: Jinhee Kim and E. Thomas Garman This paper examines the relationship between financial stress and absenteeism. A conceptual model was derived from a Health Promotion Model and empirically tested to investigate relationships among determinants (individual characteristics), stress (financial stress), physical and psychological responses (organizational commitment and health), and absenteeism. Using data from white-collar workers at an insurance company in three midwestern states, this research determined that financial stress was negatively related to organizational commitment and was positively associated with absenteeism. Employers might consider offering workplace financial education programs to reduce absenteeism. Key words: financial stress, absenteeism, Work

An Affective Model of Interplay between Emotions and Learning: Reengineering Educationa... - 0 views

  • Abstract: There is an interplay between emotions and learning, but this interaction is far more complex than previous theories have articulated. This article proffers a novel model by which to: 1). regard the interplay of emotions upon learning for, 2). the larger practical aim of crafting computer-based models that will recognize a learner's affective state and respond appropriately to it so that learning will proceed at an optimal pace.
