"This autumn, Apple's army of touchscreen gadgets will get what is perhaps their biggest update yet. iOS 5, which will be made available for most iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch users, will introduce roughly 200 new features."
"The iPad really shines as a powerful media consumption device. It's also a great tool for finding and interacting with information on the internet as well as a repository for offline browsing of articles and links saved to your Reading List. But how well are you really acquainted with all the benefits Safari for the iPad has to offer? In no particular order, here are the (5) most useful features that make interacting with Safari on the iPad an enjoyable and productive experience."
"Google Apps and Chromebooks, and the Chrome Web Browser, offer a tremendous amount of accessibility features to help vision and/or hearing impaired students. "
"This is an interactive image (created using Thinglink) that features a bunch of useful iPad apps that you can use to do tasks you would traditionally do using a pen and paper. I really liked the idea of providing alternatives to do things digitally. For instance, instead of taking notes in a notebook or on paper you can use Evernote or any other note taking app to do it on iPad. The good thing about doing things digitally is that you have the added advantage of accessing, editing, and sharing your work across different devices and platforms and also saving it on the cloud to access it anytime anywhere you go.
As is the case with all the interactive Thinglink images I shared here in the past, the app icons shared here are hyperlinked, just hover your mouse over any of them to access it on the iTunes app store."

It sports a chip letting the phone act as a credit card at few payment terminals and share data wirelessly when tapped against some other phones. BlackBerry Z10 comes with handsome cameras with 8MP on back and 2MP on the front. The rear camera can record is a 1080p high definition camera while the front has 720p resolution. One more good thing about the BlackBerry Z10 is its battery life. The talk time is upto 10hrs on 3G. Upto 60 hours of audio playback and 11 hours of video playback. The BlackBerry messenger (BBM) in BlackBerry Z10 includes voice calling and video chatting and allows user to share its screen with another. Another distinguishing feature is the BlackBerry Balance which allows two personas on the same device still keeping the individual data secure. One can set Work mode and personal mode and can switch between them easily. The Time shift is a camera feature that lets you capture a group shot where everyone is smiling with their eyes wide open. "As we move closer to the public release of iOS 11, Apple tonight has shared a series of new 'how to' videos for iPad features that come along with the newest software.
AirPods
The last series of videos from Apple shared earlier this month featured Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Siri along with the iPhone 7. The latest videos shine the spotlight on the new capabilities that iOS 11 brings to the iPad and iPad Pro."
In this day and age, teachers need to use every resource at their disposal. With distance learning being something that doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon, one of those tools may very well be YouTube. This platform is a great place to create a video that corresponds with your curriculum for your students to access them at any time.
If you are going to use the platform, there are extra considerations that need to be made. There are also YouTube features every teacher should know how to use before posting those educational videos.
Below we are going to take a look at those and why you should use the platform. Let's start with that question first.
"Changes are made to Windows 10 all the time, so it's hard to keep track of the really useful new features. We've highlighted five that you might have missed"
"Educators are beginning to see the potential of using mobile devices and apps for ongoing professional development as well as to improve literacy and cognitive development for learners. Apps are equipped with several features that motivate learners to create stories, presentations, and projects that are hands-on and use their creativity as well as their critical thinking skills. Once an app is downloaded, many features can be accessed without an Internet connection. Educators can also use various apps at conferences to connect with other educators or capture a presentation. Below are the various apps nominated by teachers for an Edublog Award so they must be worth checking out. Each has a link and a description. Make sure to check out the Edublog Awards for blogs, wikis, and web tools that teachers worldwide have recommended."
Wikis are great learning and teaching tools. They have some distinctive features that you cannot find elsewhere particularly the collaborative feature they provide to its users. Several teachers from all around the globe embrace wikis in their classrooms and use them to create a student friendly environment where to enhance what is being taught in the classroom.

I have curated the list below containing some of the best and most popular apps for this purpose. Check them out and if you have other suggestions , please share them with us in the comment form below.

"I just received this graphic from a fellow teacher and want to share it with you here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning. The graphic features some iPad apps that support different thinking skills of Bloom's Taxonomy. The apps are arranged in such a way to improve the thinking skill they pertain to. This is assembled by Kathy Schrok whose Guide for Everything is a resource I recommend for everyone of you ."
"The process of combining more primitive pieces of information to create something more meaningful is a crucial aspect both of learning and of consciousness and is one of the defining features of human experience. Once we have reached adulthood, we have decades of intensive learning behind us, where the discovery of thousands of useful combinations of features, as well as combinations of combinations and so on, has collectively generated an amazingly rich, hierarchical model of the world. Inside us is also written a multitude of mini strategies about how to direct our attention in order to maximize further learning. We can allow our attention to roam anywhere around us and glean interesting new clues about any facet of our local environment, to compare and potentially add to our extensive internal model."
"One of the best general iOS features is wifi syncing, which, just as the name implies, allows you to sync content, data, pictures, music, whatever, to and from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and a computer running iTunes, without ever connecting the device with a USB cable. Of course, this feature is only useful when it's working, and a wide variety of users are encountering an issue where wi-fi syncing just stops working. Either the device refuses to show up iTunes, or it disappears immediately when attempting to sync content to it. The solution below will resolve either of those problems and is quite simple."
"Spreaker DJ app is available for iPad, iPhone or Android devices and also available at www.spreaker.com . Spreaker transforms your device into a full-featured radio station, allowing you to mix your voice with your music library and a range of sound effects. Broadcast your lessons live or have students broadcast their learning by running their own radio station during the lessons. Students can create podcasts that could be listen to after the lesson as a form of revision or to review their learning. Students and teachers can easily share their shows via twitter, Facebook or email. Another excellent feature is the ability to chat to the DJs during the show and could be used as an excellent way to increase the interaction between students all over the world."
