A website devoted to the study of children's literature in Italy hosted by the Università degli Studi di Milano, Dipartimento di Lingue e Letterature Straniere - Sezione di Anglistica. This website stems from the work of a group of Italian scholars and friends who have been addressing the subject of children's literature from within the field of English Studies, albeit from a wide range of methodological perspectives (cultural and gender studies, visual studies, film studies...). First launched in 2007 under the aegis of the British Consulate-General, Milan, the British Council and the International Research Society on Children's Literature, nowadays the website is active once again thanks to the cooperation of the Universities of Foggia, Padua, Salerno, Venice and Milan.

Dalla convinzione che la società odierna è costituita da una miriade di sottolinguaggi, tutti con pari dignità di comunicazione, è nata l'idea a Teresina Zemella (ricercatore) e a Sandra Talone (traduttore professionista free lance) di accostare il mondo accademico e il mondo degli operatori del settore (traduttori professionisti e società di servizi di traduzione che operano sul territorio). Ciò per offrire, agli studenti dei corsi di lingue in letterature straniere moderne, l'opportunità di conoscere i problemi inerenti la professionalità da acquisire non solo nel campo dell'editoria, e delle discipline umanistiche, bensì anche in ambito finanziario, tecnico, scientifico ecc. Obiettivo: esplorare l'industria della traduzione sui versanti: accademico e aziendale, per fornire una riflessione concreta su strumenti e funzione comunicativa della traduzione.

AfricaBib is a collection of Africana social science titles, presented in one easily accessible location on the internet. It is the culmination of over forty years of Africana research. The site consists of two bibliographic databases covering Africana periodical literature (Africana Periodical Literature) and African Women's literature (African Women). You will also find a comprehensive bibliography on women travelers and explorers to Africa (Women Travelers, Explorers and Missionaries to Africa). In June 2012 two bibliographies were added, one on Islam in Africa, compiled by Paul Schrijver, the other on the Kenya Coast, compiled by Jan Hoorweg. In July 2014 Water and Africa was added. Followed in September 2017 by Education in Africa.
