In un contesto mondiale globalizzato contrassegnato da un eccezionale aumento della circolazione della letteratura straniera, nasce nel 2008, a cura del Centro Traduttori e con il patrocinio dell'Index Translationum dell'UNESCO, la World Directory of Children's Book Translators. Intesa come strumento di valorizzazione delle diversità linguistiche e culturali, questa banca dati, che raccoglie traduttori di libri per ragazzi di tutto il mondo, si configura come un punto d'incontro tra editori e traduttori specializzati. A partire dalle 55 lingue attualmente presenti, la World Directory propone una molteplicità di combinazioni linguistiche che comprendono sia le lingue più diffuse che le lingue minoritarie. A disposizione di chiunque sia in cerca di traduttori, la consultazione è libera attraverso un semplice login iniziale. Vi sono diversi criteri di ricerca fra i quali: nome del traduttore, paese di residenza, genere letterario, lingua di partenza, lingua di arrivo, lingua madre.

The Baldwin Library of Historical Children's Literature in the Department of Special Collections at the University of Florida's George A. Smathers Libraries contains more than 130,000 books and periodicals published in the United States and Great Britain from the mid-1600s to present day. The Library also has manuscript collections, original artwork, and assorted ephemera such as board games, puzzles, and toys. The Baldwin Library is known for comparative editions of books, with special emphasis on Robinson Crusoe, Pilgrim's Progress, Aesop's Fables, and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The Library also has the largest collection of Early American Juvenile Imprints of any academic institution in the United States.

A website devoted to the study of children's literature in Italy hosted by the Università degli Studi di Milano, Dipartimento di Lingue e Letterature Straniere - Sezione di Anglistica. This website stems from the work of a group of Italian scholars and friends who have been addressing the subject of children's literature from within the field of English Studies, albeit from a wide range of methodological perspectives (cultural and gender studies, visual studies, film studies...). First launched in 2007 under the aegis of the British Consulate-General, Milan, the British Council and the International Research Society on Children's Literature, nowadays the website is active once again thanks to the cooperation of the Universities of Foggia, Padua, Salerno, Venice and Milan.

Der Arbeitskreis für Jugendliteratur e.V. wurde 1955 als Dachverband der Kinder- und Jugendliteratur in Deutschland gegründet. Zu seinen Aufgaben gehören die Organisation und Bekanntgabe des Deutschen Jugendliteraturpreises, Leseförderung und Orientierungshilfe zur Kinder- und Jugendliteratur in Form der Fachzeitschrift JuLit und andere Publikationen. Außerdem ist er als deutsche Sektion des International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) international tätig.

an online bibliographical resource of secondary works on children's literature. It has been compiled by Alan Rauch, an academic at the University of North Carolina. The bibliography includes books and specialist journals, and is not annotated. Most of the entries deal with the historical aspects of children's books, although some deal with theoretical issues. This site will be of interest primarily to researchers of children's literature.
