Dal primo al tre dicembre 2011, circa 70 organizzazioni attive nel settore della traduzione letteraria, provenienti da 34 paesi europei, si sono riunite a Bruxelles per il primo convegno PETRA. Queste organizzazioni hanno condiviso una riflessione sulla situazione della traduzione letteraria in Europa e si sono confrontate sulla prospettiva di sviluppare un piano d'azione europeo. STRADE, partner ufficiale di PETRA per l'Italia, ha curato la versione italiana degli atti del convegno "Verso nuove condizioni a favore della traduzione letteraria in Europa. Le raccomandazioni PETRA".

The Burney Society honours Frances Burney d'Arblay (1752-1840), a woman who recorded everything from Johnsonian wit to George III's fits, from Evelina's entrance into the world to Napoleon's last stand. Her acute observations about her family, friends, and 18th-century society show us how much, and how little, life and literature have changed in two centuries.

The Literarisches Colloquium Berlin (LCB), founded in 1963, is an event forum, guesthouse and workplace for authors and translators.

RECSO is the University of Oxford's online community for Romanticism and Eighteenth-Century Studies. Hosted by the English Faculty, our purpose is to provide a central forum for graduates and researchers from all departments to engage with the latest in the long eighteenth century. RECIT is a network of European literary translation centres offering residencies for translators and organising events bringing together writers & translators.

PETRA brings together the initiatives and expertise of organisations active in the field of literary translation in Europe, on both a national and a transnational level: translators' and authors' organisations, literary organisations and networks, policy making bodies and organisations dealing with education, publishing and copyright.

Der Arbeitskreis für Jugendliteratur e.V. wurde 1955 als Dachverband der Kinder- und Jugendliteratur in Deutschland gegründet. Zu seinen Aufgaben gehören die Organisation und Bekanntgabe des Deutschen Jugendliteraturpreises, Leseförderung und Orientierungshilfe zur Kinder- und Jugendliteratur in Form der Fachzeitschrift JuLit und andere Publikationen. Außerdem ist er als deutsche Sektion des International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) international tätig.
