After a student has completed their assignment, they can log on to this site and do grade based activities that are fun and educational. All of these games are free to play.

This site is free and there are tons of games to choose from, and you choose the grade level to play them at. At the end of each game the easy to read results give you a clear understanding of how you did in the game and where you need more practice at. I will be introducing this site to my own children, and will incorporate it into my classroom for my students as well. I highly recommend this site.

Jumpstart is a great site for teachers of any grade level. You can choose the grade level you are teaching and then find activities, games, worksheets, and more for your students. It has activities for many different subjects reading, English, science, math, and art. This would be a great source for gather ideas for activities, getting supplemental worksheets, or to give the students a safe place to play fun games!

I felt like this website met the standards of 6.1. This is a great resource for teachers and parents who are teaching math or science. There are a variety of lesson plans as well as interactive "gizmos" that will help students learn. Students can do the interactive portion and then be asked to complete the lesson plan. It's such a helpful site that will benefit the students and teachers.

Teacher scholastic provides many activities for any grade level and subject area. This applies to standard 6.1 because it allows teachers and students to use technology in the classroom to do different activities and/or practice what they are learning so they can learn the material better and the teacher can teach it more efficiently.

This link is for an excellent, free database for teachers to search or find literature appropriate to their students at different levels of the DRA (Developmental Reading Assessment). You can search for a specific book, or use the database to configure an appropriate list for your grade and DRA level. The website as a whole offers many other great features for educators as well, such as lesson plans and science projects. The database in itself however is a fun place to start when working with your own personal classroom library to the extent that you can be linked to Amazon to purchase a copy if you so wish.

Games, videos, crafts, stories, and even access to blogs are available to students to expand on their learning even after school hours. There is a options available for sorting content by grade level from grades Pre K - 2nd, making the website a great candidate for Standard 6.2.

6.4- Candidates use technology in their own learning process and to change their current educational practice. This website provides educational games for a variety of subjects and grade levels. I have played a game in every category and I believe this website would be very beneificial to children who get bored easy during class. Not only are they having fun but they are learning while they do it!

Standard 6.7 This site is one for any grade level of teaching. It has compiled thousands of free worksheets that are relevant in k-12 Education. It is in its early stages of organizing all of the sites within the database, but it has managed to keep a very clear license agreement making all of the worksheets and resources that are found on the site Free of Charge!!! New ideas, games, worksheets, and quiz material are all easily found with a user friendly navigation of the site, and the material is in PDF format, as well as Doc. format, therefore it is easy to find any material that can be used for lessons year round. It is free and it has so many things that are beneficial to teachers. You can bookmark different videos or lesson plans so that you can go back to them whenever you want to. You have a question and answer board so that you can ask questions to other teachers or answer questions that other teachers have asked. You can choose your subject and grade level and the website will notify you of new videos that are related to your subject interests.

With collaborize classroom I feel is one website that can really help students participate more with their classmates. Especially for students taht are shy and do not like to talk in front of others.

I found this Treehouse TV website while surfing the web and it goes along with the 6.2 standard because it goes hand in hand with the grade levels of pre k- 3rd.It will really draw the children to learn on here because their favorite characters are teaching them like Dora, Little Bear,and The Bubble Guppies. Plus it teaches technology to them by the different games and activites they offer. So i suggest you and your little definitely check it out! :)
