Standard 6.2 is:Candidates select and use grade-level and content-specific technology resources, including assistive technology, to increase student participation in the total curriculum. With collaborize classroom I feel is one website that can really help students participate more with their classmates. Especially for students taht are shy and do not like to talk in front of others.

Funding is available for your DynaVox device! An exciting virtual learning experience that will help support individuals with significant communication challenges. Dynavox meets the standard because it is an assistive technology for any person who has communication problems. I chose this particular technology because my step-son is non-verbal and we have tried using the device with him.

Sweet Search is a search engine designed for students who are researching anything their minds think of!! When you go to the homepage for Sweet Search, it gives you other search engine links that can specifically target your goal. Some of these include links for social study content, biographies, how to use the web effectively, etc. Our librarians really promote this website and encourage the students to use this search engine when they are researching.
