ABC ya! is a great website to incorporate technology in your classroom. This website includes fun games and enrichment activities for Elementary schools Kindergarten through fifth grade. After a student has completed their assignment, they can log on to this site and do grade based activities that are fun and educational. All of these games are free to play.

ABCya.com is the leader in free educational kids computer games and activities for elementary students to learn on the web. All children's educational computer activities were created or approved by certified school teachers. All educational games are free and are modeled from primary grade lessons and enhanced to provide an interactive way for children to learn.

ABCYa.com is an interactive children's website, loaded with fun games and activities to help children learn and practice reading, math, grammar, spelling, history, geography and more. This site is free and there are tons of games to choose from, and you choose the grade level to play them at. At the end of each game the easy to read results give you a clear understanding of how you did in the game and where you need more practice at. I will be introducing this site to my own children, and will incorporate it into my classroom for my students as well. I highly recommend this site.

This website, Freerice.com, is a useful tool for teachers to use to reinforce some knowledge that may be learned in class, to provide a source of edutainment, and to provide students with the recognition that they live in a global community with people less fortunate. The site allows for you to copy and paste free banners to your own personal website or blog. A link could also be saved to the site on a classroom computer, allowing students to use the site as a means to reinforce a skill or to reward a student for good behavior. The site does adhere to the standard 6.9 by the permission allowed to educators by the "Fair Use" doctrine.

Coursecracker.com is a very useful website for teachers to use in order to stay connected with students, parents, and other teachers. This website allows teachers to set up a class page. They can then post assignments on there for students to access in case a student misses class. Teachers can have a calendar on the class page which can help students keep up with when their assignments are due. Teachers can also send notifications to parents and students through email. Teachers can also talk to other teachers to discuss different topics. The standard for this website is Standard 6.6 which deals with using technology to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.

Gamequarium is an online interactive website with games and worksheets to supplement the instructional strategies that the students learned in class. This website also provides teachers with access to lesson plans and teaching tips on how to teach students, Teachers also get access to information about the importance and saftey of internet access and different ways to include instructional technology into the classroom such as YouTube.Gamequarium is an educational website that supplements the instruction of both teachers and students via hands-on technology.

I chose Microsoft Mouse Mischief because it is interactive. It allows the teacher and students to interact with the lesson and eachother and makes learning fun and easy. There is something for teacher and student. It is a program that allows teachers to make PowerPoints interactive by asking question and with wireless mouses students select answers. It also shows the teacher which students or groups of students answered correctly or incorrectly. My standard is 6.1, which states that candidates intergrate instructional technology to facilitate learning in the classroom to supplement instructional strategies, to design instructional materials, and to enhance hands-on expierences and problem solving. I believe that this program is great for this standard. It is hands-on, interactive, uses technology, and ask the students for problem solving and quick thinking. Mimio is a company that makes interactive technologies for the classroom. The interactive whiteboard is similar to a smartboard except it just attaches to the teachers exisiting whiteboard magnetically. Students or teachers can use the pens to write on the board and control the computer screen by using the whiteboard. Mimio also makes a reading tutorial called MimioSprout. This helps children from kindergarten to second grade with reading. This website meets standard 6.1 because it allows students to use interactive technology in the classroom. It also allows students to further their education while playing games and doing activities on Mimio Sprout. The white board would allow teachers to use technology in a positive way to have students interact during a lesson instead of just listening to the teacher. With the interactive white board, students can get up and interact with the teacher and their peers.

This is a great way for teachers to communicate with students, parents and other teachers. It allows the teacher to post a calendar of events, announcements, and homework assignments in a way that parents an students can view the information from anywhere that they have internet access. It also allows them to view ideas from other teachers and share their ideas with teachers. The site has a search bar that searches your topic in only educational websites as well.

Parents and students can also choose to be notified each time that their teacher makes a change to the webpage, making it easier for them to stay in tuned to what is happening in class.

This website goes along with Standard 6.1 by providing teachers with multiple ways to enhance their classroom. There are free worksheets to print out, many links to other websites to get educational material, educational games, and more. It has lesson plan ideas sorted by subject area and even emergency lessons for substitutes to keep students engaged. As a beginning professional, you can look at tips on how to write a lesson plan and improve it as well.

If knowledge was power this site would be invincible. With countless free lesson plans, activities, and games for both students and teachers this site has it all while adhering to standard 6.1.

Teachnology.com is a teacher's resource site that offers educational and instructional tools for teachers. This site reflects Standard 6.5, because this site features research in educational topics and teacher development, student and teacher safe search engines, information in educational technology, teacher newsletters, and teacher forums that allow teachers to communicate on updates and ideas in the educational world. Teachnology.com also offers classroom resources such as lessonplans, worksheets, templates for graphic organizers, and rubrics that can be used in the class.

This website allows for teachers to post grades, attendance, assignments, and an assignment calendar for students and their parents. It also allows the teacher to easily create seating charts, instantly send alerts to parents via email or text, and it allows for the data to be exported to Excel if needed. I see this as a great tool for teachers to communicate to one another grades in other classes as well. Wordle is a toy for generating "word clouds" from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like.

This site allows both the teacher and student to watch hundreds of free documentaries. It gives the teacher a opportunity to learn about various topics they may be presenting in class it also gives the student the ability to watch quality documentaries assigned by the teacher without having to do so in the classroom. Students and teachers can use ipads, iphones, androids, kindle,xbox and many other devices. There are also opportunites to submit your own documentary which could be used as a class project to change and expand the educational practices of both student and teachers. Previews to assigned films can be embeded in a teacher's website or blog.

* Teaching Channel is a great place for teachers to go to watch videos about common core standards or lessons from other teachers. It is free and it has so many things that are beneficial to teachers. You can bookmark different videos or lesson plans so that you can go back to them whenever you want to. You have a question and answer board so that you can ask questions to other teachers or answer questions that other teachers have asked. You can choose your subject and grade level and the website will notify you of new videos that are related to your subject interests.

The NAEA is great website that expands your knowledge about an art education career and a great example of the standard 6.4: Candidates use technology in their own learning process and to change their current educational practice. It provides learning opportunities for current and future art educators to expand their knowledge and to better their classroom. The community part of the website allows art educators from all over the USA to share ideas and strategies for their classroom. There are also grants and opportunities for students and teachers to earn money or more knowledge about art education. The learning tab gives lesson plan ideas. Last, the best part about this website is that it helps you start your career by finding a job.  

www.inspiringteachers.com is a website that teachers can use to find tips, ideas, and general inspiration to use in their classrooms. It is set up in a way that is beneficial to many teachers as you can choose to filter the information to the specific type of teaching you do or how long you have been teaching. It contains loads of helpful information for teachers whether they have just started out or have been teaching for decades. This relates to standard 6.4 because part of using technology in our classrooms and to change our educational practice is finding information and inspiration and this website has a lot of good information all in one place.

6.6- candidates use technology to effectively communicate with students, parents and colleagues. Teachers are able to post information online that is available for students and their parents to view. They even have apps for phones so that communicate between all parties is constant.

HomeworkNOW.com makes it possible for schools to communicate with parents and students via the web, iPhone, iPad, Android apps, email, mobile text messaging, Facebook, Twitter, RSS Feeds and more! Administrators use HomeworkNOW.com to easily communicate school announcements, alerts, and schoolwide notices. Teachers can sign up on their own or the school can sign up.

This link is for an excellent, free database for teachers to search or find literature appropriate to their students at different levels of the DRA (Developmental Reading Assessment). You can search for a specific book, or use the database to configure an appropriate list for your grade and DRA level. The website as a whole offers many other great features for educators as well, such as lesson plans and science projects. The database in itself however is a fun place to start when working with your own personal classroom library to the extent that you can be linked to Amazon to purchase a copy if you so wish.

This website meets the standard 6.4 because the information it provides could help teachers to see in what area they need to change their educational practices, and they could do it through their own learning process. It is used to document and exhibit the progress of America's students in various areas over time.This website has so much to offer to educators! I have used it in several presentations that I have done in my other education classes; thus far, the information has been accurate and highly intriguing to myself and others.

I chose this website because I think it is a great tool for students, teachers, and parents. It collects all recent and popular sites that are useful to a range of people. I found it very neat to be able to go to one site to find what is new and current, so it would make it easy to stay familiar with new websites of today. It meets standard 6.4 because I think this will help teachers and students change their current educational practice or just use this as additional material.
