H7N9 strain that is capable of spreading quicker than the H5N1 strain. 100 people in China have been affected and killed more than 20. Doesn't immediately cause the noticeable symptoms like most flu strains would, making it difficult to monitor. 

The rotavirus vaccination was introduced in 2007 to most of Mexico. By 2010 most of the children in Mexico were vaccinated. This study wanted to see the correlation between the effectiveness of the vaccination compared to different socioeconomic statuses. They compared different regions in Mexico and found that throughout the country the Diarrhea Mortality rate caused by the rotavirus significantly decreased in all areas.

The rotavirus is responsible for over 500,000 deaths in children under the age of 5. Vaccinations that have been developed over the last 10 years have significantly reduced the number of deaths in developed countries, but studies still need to be performed to find out the effectiveness in developing countries in Asia and Africa.

Eight cases of the virus has been confirmed in Townsville. Two more people are suspected of having the virus and test results are expected this afternoon.

London could be hit by a "very large outbreak" of measles because so few young people are vaccinated, according to the country's immunisation chief. In some of the capital's boroughs, more than half of children in some age groups have not been fully vaccinated against the disease.
