Many of us have been talking about how it is hard to find time to take advantage of all the technologies that are out there. I thought this page offered an interesting perspective on how 21st technology can be incorporated into daily life.

Through a special agreement with more than 800 newspapers worldwide, the Newseum displays  front pages each day on its website. The front pages are in their original, unedited form.  I could see this being used to compare how different countries report news stories, especially international ones.  No papers from France, yet.  

Students use their cell phones to call and leave messages in the target language at any time. Assign a question or set of questions for them to call in and answer.

What phone number do you use to link it to? I don't want my cell phone ringing at all times of the day....

This is a wonderful site with many activities for French student to complete in honor of Earth Day. There are coloring pages, descriptions, and games for students to do either at home or in school.

Good article about some great tools

Teacher and author Larry Ferlazzo shares some great resources for creating visuals to accompany short texts.  This could be used by both teachers and students at all levels of instruction to address differentiated learning and to offer students options for demonstrating their learning.

Barbara - Thanks for sharing this blog article and the teaching tip. What a great idea for differentiation and integration of digital literacy. This provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate their digital literacy skills with respect to appropriate use of images, citation, etc.
