This website gives very useful information that will aid students in writing beneficial and productive meeting minutes after group meetings for projects. There are listed do's and don'ts and also ten questions that should be answered by the meeting minutes in order to capture all of the important meeting details.

This is a pretty useful site when it comes to learning about effective presentation skills. It highlights delivery, content, visual aids, and Q&A sessions. The site has written tips, as well as video examples for each subtopic.

this website helped me to understand manovich a little more because it explains to you more what new media is and the main aspects of it. in the reading we did manovich explained it it much more detail which can be a little overwhelming so this help me to understand it alot more.

Read the pages 65-75 those pages talke about the new media for architectue. For example, the new ways to sketch Coon designed a program 'sketchup' that the user can sit and on a computer pad sketch what they invision in into the computer. I think that the new media for design has gone a long way towards haveing CAD computer aided design.

I like this cite because of the many links to resources for writers. Links include common mistakes, tips for successful technical writing, templates etc.

This website describes the CRAP principles and how they relate to your web page, it also has nice visual aids.

I like this website because of its title. How Crap is your site design? This website talks a lot about what chapter 6 was explaining. Such as how elements should be grouped or how repeating styles down a page can bring a cohesive feel.

This page has it all! Aside from just telling an explaining what we can do it provides screenshots so we get an idea of the "trick" to see is we might want it. This offers help anywhere from blog rolls to navigation to addding sideshows and tabs to your page. VERY resourceful.

This article is good because it provides tutorials on how to improve your blog.  For example, there are descent free magazines themes or you can build your own.  Also it gives techniques for seo and plug ins.  

I found this site on how to write instructions in 7 easy steps to be very simple and helpful. The first to writing instructions according to this site is to take a step back and write as though the people have zero knowledge of the subject. It wants you to know exactly what your trying to teach/get across without putting too much or too little info. After this creating an outline is a good idea before just starting your project with no plan. The next two steps according to this site are to make your instructions easy to understand and make them brief as well. Lastly they suggest the use of visual aids, such as videos or diagrams, and to give it a test drive to get out any kinks.

I like these tips as well, they are very similar to the previous one that I had posted only it had a few more points added with tips like adding visual guides. I am more a visual hands on type person so that was a great tip!

Some more great tools although similar to the other one that I bookmarked. This one is short and to the point.

D6 HW1- Don't be fooled by the Rhythm instead of repetition, this website does talk about using repeating items or patterns to bring unity and motion to the design. This website takes more realistic visual aides as examples. Helping to apply the pronciples of repetition to a busier, and more typical, design.

I liked this article the best. It discuses flow within web designs and it covers all the basis for smooth flow for people that are trying to create their own web page. It covers what design flow is and gives an image example of how flow flows within a graphic design. The author states that it is important to create an entry point, "something that stands out from everything else so that most people look at it first". The author also gives advice on controling flow within a design by using arrows, people or faces that look in a certain direction, and perspective. Using space to control flow is something that I found interesting the author states that "varying the space between a series of elements can be used to create rhythm and motion".

I found this website to be very helpful when it came to discussing flow and how to achieve that. Besides talking about using visual cues to guide the readers eyes, using space to control flow, and creating harmony using flow, it also gives examples of various websites that have demonstrated good flow of design.

This article is one of my favorites because it does more than just tell you how to use contrast but it explains why it is important. It discusses the benefits of using contrast in relevance to web and ad design.  This article is easy to read by its use of number lists and bolded headings. 

I liked this website a lot as well. Instead of showing ways in which how to use contrast, it explains three ways that contrast is important. One is that contrast is attractive to the eye, the other is that contrast aids in organization of info, and finally contrast creates focus. A key point that was made that I think is good to emphasize is that "contrast elements should be COMPLETELY different, not just a little bit"

This website gives very nice examples and pictures that help explain the contrast principle. I love how attractive to the eye all the images are.
