OkCupid asks users to boycott Firefox/Mozilla for CEO's anti-gay views - 3 views

I'm torn on this topic. while CEO Brendon Eich has a bigoted opinion, I don't know if asking users to boycott the entirety of Mozilla (and their very large staff) is the right thing to do, although I very much respect OkCupid for taking a stand in their beliefs. Brendon also created javascript, which has an incredibly important part to the experience of using the internet, and without this OkCupid wouldn't exist. Mozilla came out with an official statement stating that they support LBGT equality. "...This is why Mozilla supports equality for all, including marriage equality for LGBT couples. No matter who you are or who you love, everyone deserves the same rights and to be treated equally. We realize that not everyone in our community or who uses our products will agree with this. But we have always maintained that as long as you are willing to respect others, and come together for our larger mission, you are welcome."
What do you think about this? Is it justified for OkCupid to ask for this boycott? Should Brendan's beliefs cause for boycott of all his products?

I think it's ridiculous that the US is spying on the politicians of other countries. Do you think this spying is at all justified?

Awful Major Lazer interview by iHeartRadio - 0 views

Funny (and incredibly awkward) interview of Major Lazer. In the defense of the interviewer, none of the members like to do interviews. But considering the fact that she made fun of Jillionare/Walshy Fire for not being as famous as Diplo and never even acknowledges the existence of Walshy Fire I cannot take her seriously.
What do you think?

Just....wow.
She had to call 911 while being attacked by the same people she was calling. How can this happen? Why? And does this woman have the ability to take legal recourse?
Lil B interview - 2 views

Lil B started off as a talented rapper (and still is one, when he wants to) but instead he decided that he could release way more songs that are way worse, and everyone would eat it up. As the article says, it's all a joke more than anything but that's the fun in it. People scream stuff like "THANK YOU BASED GOD" and are part of the 'Taskforce', a group dedicated to risking their lives to save the Based God. He jokingly acts like the stereotypical rapper with incredibly misogynistic lyrics, yet doesn't actually believe in what he writes. He built up a large following over the years through his hundreds of songs, and that's what brought him to the fame he has today.
Snapchat Nudes Being Posted Online - 28 views

People should really be more aware of the dangers of sending nude snapchats. On iOS, you can glitch it to screenshot the phone without letting the sender know. On android, you can actually go into your phone's files and get the previously received photos. As Jake quoted, "Nothing is ever really deleted on the internet." I don't think that Snapchat should stop its services, but people should just be more aware/cautious and understand that sending a nude picture, even through snapchat, risks having that picture being misused and posted online for all to see.
New Virus is "A Threat to the Entire World" - 11 views

If it's part of the same group of viruses that SARS comes from and half the people who have had it in the past month have died, we should be paying attention to it. We should respond quickly and make sure that it is something that we can control, contain, and vaccinate. It's better to over-do it and be over-prepared for something that might not be too serious than to under-do it and have millions die due to this virus.
Teenager arrested for rap lyrics he posted on facebook - 5 views

Cameron D'Ambrosio posted lyrics he made on facebook that talked about him becoming more famous than the boston bombing from rapping. While it's definitely not a politically correct lyric, being arrested and facing 20 years in jail with no bail is ridiculous. What do you think about this? Is this the start of the government cracking down on our free speech online?(moreso than before?)
also, a link to sign a peitition to get him out of jail:
