      My question does focus on Indian food and related health benefits and concerns, but this doesn't mean that other countries and cultures aren't facing the same issues. The world in general is in a state where there are now more overall obese people than starving. The surplus of food has risen, and the cost of food has fallen. We need to control how much we eat and which foods we spend our money on (no McDonald's!)

      This article is a better version of the previous one, as it describes that alterations that can be made to indian food and how we can still eat the food we love, but just with fewer calories. This doesn't only apply to indian food, but to all food in general. Making the healthier choice will be better in the long run!

      This is something I deal with on a daily basis, and I'm sure many of you can relate to. Traditionally putting in all the components that make it unhealthier in a dish puts more flavour into the dish, so without the food doesn't really taste good. Also for me especially I have an acquired taste for indian food, in that it has to taste a certain way for me to like it. This article would be more helpful it it explained how to still keep the essence and flavour of the dish but also reducing the fat and oil content.

    Vegetarian has become the new alternative from meat and by-products. Many religions also encourage being vegetarian, as I know Sikhism does. Being vegetarian may just be the only option we have to help re-vive the planet and make healthier food choices.

    t's hard to avoid such a tempting restaurant with so many costumers, open 24 hours a day, affordable food, and added chemicals that make the food tasting delicious and making you want to come back. My sister herself works at McDonalds and finds it quite difficult to resist the temptation of BigMac and fries. Yes McDonald's does provide jobs for many young people like her, but McDonald's does not teach the benefits of healthy living.

    This note is on meat and how we need it in out diet. This article is fantastic because it not only shows us that meat can be good and bad, but it also shows us how we can make our meat better for us without gaining to much cholestrol, which can cause our arteries to block and even cause a heart attack if consumed in excessive amounts. This article acts informative but also as cook book. You learn how to maintain a healthy diet and you learn how to cook something useful.

    This note is for Meat the Truth video. I am honestly shocked to know that our world's transport system produces less pollution than livestock. This just shows how everyday consumers like us are responsible for the incorrect breeding of livestock all for the sake of meat. What we don't realize is that the meat we eat, because we think it is healthy, is actually harming us than helping us. The meat we eat is injected with so many chemicals just so it is up to our standards. Yes, meat is an essential part of our diet but there are alternatives. And alternatives may not be a bad thing if they will prevent global warming.

    So for some reason on the video of the McDonalds experiment my sticky note won't load so I'm putting it like this. Fries that don't degrade in 10 weeks is absolutely disgusting. That just tells you that those fries are made of everything but potatoes. Next time when you feel like grabbing a quick bite to eat at McDonalds just remember this video and convince yourself to eat something healthy.

      WOW! This video is absolutely mind-blowing. At he beginning I did wonder how meat was going to tie into global warming, but it's absolutely appalling to find out that livestock produces more pollution than transport around the world. This video is one of many on youtube, and it shows us how we are all the ones to blame for global warming as well. Our demands for meat have lead to immediate production of "synthesized" meat that may taste juicier to us, but is actually really bad for our health. The decisions we make for our diet affect our health and the environment, so always think twice.

      This article is fantastic in banishing my concerns about meat in my diet. I always think that meat is a source of great fat but it tastes great. This article acts kind of like a cook book and tells you how should be eating your meat so that it's healthy for you and won't kill you! Also preparing your own meals is a good way to learn some cooking skills, save some money from going to McDonalds, and it's healthy!

      It is interesting to see that Canada did not actually fit into any of the five categories that were presented to us in the article. Yes, the article was written a few years ago, so it maybe irrelevant. However, Canada not meeting any requirements, opens our eyes and let's us realize that no to long ago our health system wasn't as good as it could be now.
