This website wasn't particularly helpful. It did show me an example or two of fun experiments I could perform to understand chemistry better, but it didn't help to educate me too much. This is not, however, a site I would recommend to a person getting into chemistry, but to a person who is looking more into just having fun with cool experiments.

How to Paint a Mural: Learn About Mural Supplies, Preparation and Mural Techniques - 0 views

  •
For this "How to Paint a Mural" site, I found a lot of helpful information about what materials are needed, what type of paint I should use (which I already knew from Ms. Cleary), and what techniques I could use to paint the mural. Even though they used specific brands as some examples of paint brands, this site also gave some examples overall. Besides all of the mural information, there was other drawing and painting advice that I might want to look at another time, including different media. This site seems interesting for people that are interested in art. Not only does this site have great information, it also isn't boring looking, and you can find what you are looking for. I'm glad I looked at this site even if I saw tips and information that I already knew.

Science is Fun - 0 views

This website was helpful in helping me to find out some home experiments I could perform. None were too helpful, but they all provided small bits of insight into the chemistry field. Though at a basic level, they helped me to get the gist of how some chemicals react with one another. I would not particularly recommend this site to another, but if they wanted to check it out that would be just as fine.

Anatomy of the Brain Quiz - 0 views

shared by ameliafbruhl on 16 Jan 15 - No Cached

This source is an online quiz. I found it helpful in terms of studying and memorizing the different sections of the brain. Of each question there is a diagram of the brain labeled with numbers and the objective is to match the numbers to the corresponding area of the brain. This is different from other sources I have used because the source is an online quiz, not an article. I still learned a lot from it though. This source has helped me to realize that the brain is quite complicated and that it is time consuming to memorize the different parts of the brain. I would highly recommend this article because it is fun to take this quiz and see what you know (or don't know) about the human brain.

Vermont Public Radio "Does Your Dog Really Like You?" - 0 views

  •
This VPR radio program visits the topic of emotion in animals. Virginia Morell is an animal researcher and author of the book "Animal Wise: The Thoughts and Emotions of Our Fellow Creatures." Morell studies the emotions of different animals and their means for communicating those emotions. The large topic of interest in this short VPR news special is about whether humans have a special connection with dogs. Morell's answer is yes, dogs and humans have a similar way of communicating with facial cues and body language which makes our two species somewhat appealing to one another. This helps my research a lot in that it brings out not only the similarities between K-9s and humans but also the mysterious draw of one animal to the other. Since the domesticated dog is so closely related to the wolf, it is true that wolves have similar body language, facial expression and social behavior tendencies. Morell speaks about her topic of expertise with great ease and it is fun to listen to because she is so smart.

Create Your Own Jeopardy Template Online - 0 views

This is a site to make-your-own jeopardy games. I have used it to make review materials for the Brain Bee club I am in when I am leader of the day. It does not provide information, but if you write the questions and answers it will format your information into an interactive game that can record points for any number of teams. This site is a little different from others in that it is not necessarily reliable or unreliable because that depends on the information you put in it. It is not a source of information, but a way for you to communicate information you already have. I have found this simple site to be very helpful. I imagined myself doing a boring powerpoint when I was leader of the day, but this site gave me another option. It made sharing my expertise an activity that could involve the whole group in a fun way.

Eric Jackson Interview - 1 views

This Interview really showed me how sponsors can put pressure on you and how it can make snowboarding not fun.
  •
Whenever you take what you love and attach being paid to it, the dynamic changes. I particulary liked the part of the interview when Eric talks about the mental strategies to face the fear of failure. I want to check out that book he references. Is this an article that can help you consider your Age project?

This website is very good for providing a basic overview of the inoculations needed before traveling to other countries. It has countries other than Nepal, and contains basic vaccines, preventive measures, medical supplies and over-the-counter medications that are recommended by the government for travel to Nepal.

Departure from your school aboard your luxury motorcoach. Arrive in Montreal and meet your tour leader. Discover Old Montreal with your tour leader, to see: Place Jacques-Cartier, City Hall, Marché Bonsecours, and more... Visit Notre-Dame Basilica where the stained glass art will tell you the story of Old Montreal. This was a trip I attended along with my French class... very fun, very informative!
