  •
This website provided me with games to help create immediate and reactive character development. I'm enrolled in theatre arts this semester, and some of these games are similar to ones we play. I may even suggest one of these games to play in class.

Teachers Pay Teachers - 0 views

This is a website where teachers can put any kind of school activity, game or lesson on and other teachers can buy them at pretty low prices. The only way to get anything off this site is to sign up, and it is FREE. There are also lots of activities, games and lessons that are free for teachers. My mentor told me that she gets the majority of her games off of this one website. She has found it useful for her whole teaching career.

Create Your Own Jeopardy Template Online - 0 views

  •
This is a site to make-your-own jeopardy games. I have used it to make review materials for the Brain Bee club I am in when I am leader of the day. It does not provide information, but if you write the questions and answers it will format your information into an interactive game that can record points for any number of teams. This site is a little different from others in that it is not necessarily reliable or unreliable because that depends on the information you put in it. It is not a source of information, but a way for you to communicate information you already have. I have found this simple site to be very helpful. I imagined myself doing a boring powerpoint when I was leader of the day, but this site gave me another option. It made sharing my expertise an activity that could involve the whole group in a fun way.

Paint.NET is free image editing program that works very well for making small, pixel art tiles. This is very useful when making a game in an engine that supports tile-sets because they can condense many different tiles into one small image file and save space for your game.

Google Trends Visualizer - 0 views

  •
Google Trends is a way to search what is currently popular searches on Google's Search engine. This is a visualizer for that which means that it is an easy way to look at what is effectively a list of what the world cares most about currently. I could have written some huge philosophical thing about this link, but in reality it's a pretty screensaver.
  •
So, it sounds as if you do NOT recommend using this? I don't need a pretty screen saver in my life, for sure. But if there is anything to be learned by the wisdom of the crowds, this might be a place to learn? I really don't have any skin in this game and just wonder what you think.
