This website has a lot of websites (broken down by stage 1, 2, and 3) for students to explore creating and learning about music. The only issue I have is that many of the websites don't work anymore. The Infinite Jukebox may come as somewhat of a revelation. For an introduction, readers may go to the site and click on a few of the popular tunes listed on the homepage. For instance, selecting Superstition by Stevie Wonder kicks off the 1972 hit in the way you've always heard it. But then The Infinite Jukebox takes over, matching beats and rhythmic patterns to create intelligent patterns for where the song can go next. No simple loop here. Instead the song plays for as long as the listener would like, but with seemingly infinite variety. Once users understand the basic principle, they can upload their own MP3s for free and let The Infinite Jukebox reorganize them into epic soundtracks for their working day.

You can select a track from the site's vast library or upload a song of your own, which the site will analyze and use to create a pattern. This site could be beneficial for use with classical music to make easy background music.

Noteflight provides music notation software from the ease of a web browser. The program is free to use, and although there is a premium version, the free version has all the tools needed for learning and creating notated music. All works are saved in the cloud and can be accessed at anytime from any device that can access the website, making music composition easier than ever.

Noteflight is a free browser-based music notation tool. The software has cloud storage allowing you to work on creative musical products from any computer with an internet connection. It also connects to MIDI instruments. Noteflight has a paid subscription which allows you to store unlimited compositions, full access to all sounds, transposition, and the ability to print individual parts. Student accounts can be purchased which you to create "closed" classrooms allowing for creative musical products and collaboration amongst peers.

Katie Wardrobe describes a free software called Bandlab that can be used in music education.

An online marketplace for teachers to buy and sell classroom resources. I have found many free and low cost worksheets, visuals and even lesson plans online. Resources include worksheets for pitch, rhythm, composers, specific songs, like the Star Spangled Banner and so much more. A valuable resource for a teacher who does not want to "recreate the wheel" OR who is creative and likes to "recreate the wheel" and earn a little cash doing it!

Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT), is a great resource for lesson plans, bulletin boards, and so much more! While most resources are free, some you do have to pay for.

This would be a great source for teachers who need the documentation for certain topics. This website provides every grade level, along with every subject being provided. There are lots of information on this source for free, and there are also many sources that are not free. But it depends on what you want or need. The purpose of this sources is to give teachers a wide range of things, that they may need in their classrooms.

EXCELLENT tool for creating seating charts and band/orchestra large group set-ups. You can label stands and chairs. Very user friendly!

Soundtrap offers a paid subscription allowing teachers to setup a private classroom and monitor/grade/comment on their students work. This DAW can be used for a plethora of creative tasks in music. It's primary affordance is that it is browser-based and compositions are saved via cloud storage.

Users can also easily collaborate with others, and the program can be accessed via computer, tablet, or cell phone. It provides a user-friendly experience that music students can work with to express creativity through composition.

This website is the Chrome Music lab. There are activities to explore all the elements of music. Some of the activities are composition related. There are visual representations of sound as well. You need to use the Chrome browser for them to work. My students really enjoyed this site.

This is a site that helps music teachers teach across the curriculum by connecting music to math, science, and art. These are online experiments that are interactive and have explanations behind the experiments.

Created by Google developers, this site contains various apps associated with different musical elements with the premise that users would simply explore. Songmaker and Kadinsky allow the creation of musical ideas while others explore rhythm chords, and how sound functions. Each app is extremely easy to use and is beneficial in any general music setting.

Kahoot! is an online/cloud-based program that allows users to create multiple-choice quizzes that are played on electronic devices (cell phones, iPads, etc.).

Kahoot is an awesome website where you can create quizzes for your students. You can also access kahoot quizzes made by others. Students can login from their device and play the game/quiz in your classroom. They can also login at home for practice/homework.

This is a great site for making games for students. The games can be of anything you want. I have used it to reinforce rhythms, theory, and notation. It can be used for so much more.

Quia enables educators to create quizzes quickly and effectively. The website walks you through the quiz-making process, and it is easy to use. Questions can take the form of true/false, multiple choice, multiple answers, short answer responses, essay, and several others. In addition, multimedia capabilities are available to enhance quiz questions. Teachers can add a music clip or an image to illustrate or become the focal point of a question. Questions can be randomized for multiple variations of quizzes, and feedback can be left for students for each question.

This website is filled with information about every song you can imagine. It also includes information about artists as well as some fun games and trivia concerning musicians. A top ten list of songs is given with further explanation about the music.

This site is a great resource to help students get into the minds of their favorite pop artists. Students often find it easier to connect to pop tunes than to classical music. This site provides a list of different pop tunes/artists along with descriptions about those pieces and artists. This helps students realize the thought behind creating music, which they can then transfer to their school music class. This site also includes blogs about songwriter interviews, quizzes, and song facts to name a few. The featured songs fall into the category "daily top ten" or "weekyl top ten," keeping the songs up-to-date and easy for young students to recognize/connect with.

This website is a great resource for discovering the stories behind popular songs. The list of songs seem to be extensive and include pieces that would be familiar to students. This resource could help create a relevant curriculum that speaks to the non-traditional music student's interests and their music experience.

This is a video sharing site. The user can access quality music examples and create playlists for easy access. The user can also create their own channel and upload videos that they created themselves. Music educators can locate examples, tutorials, or other information for use with music lessons.

This is the link to the Piano Guys YouTube page. This provides a great resource for students to watch new arrangements of some of their favorite songs.

This is a youtube tutorial on how to create a Jeopardy game using MS Powerpoint. I remember playing these throughout school and they definitely helped with reviewing.

I enjoy building things myself and feel confident that I could create this IWB and pen.  The IWB has numerous applications in the music classroom including all students viewing the score and circling the parts you are working on and how they relate to the whole selection.

This podcast site is for educators to discover new ideas in music education and technology while listening to the voices of Joseph Pisano and Darren Morton talk about those ideas. This site is meant to give quality opinions on the latest trends in education. PodOmatic includes podcast on certain music education and technology topics, videos of marching bands performing, and the ability to create your own podcast dealing with music issues. There are websites included that direct one other podcasts from followers of the website and educators.
