Open source hardware companies have agreed to a "constitution" dictating the rules for the still-nascent industry. The document replicates many of the principles of free-software licensing, but applies these principles to open source hardware projects like Chumby, Arduino, etc., making it possible for "makers" to know the rules by which they are expected to operate as the industry develops.
